crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)

It started earlier than the weatherpeople said, but the end result was still about the inch or less they predicted, so I'm okay with that. Particularly since I didn't have to go out in it. :p Always nice to avoid that mess. I didn't check off every tick on yesterday's list, but I did get a fair bit accomplished:

-->Got my room cleaned, which is always good.

-->Finally played a game of BTTF Yahtzee with my family -- which rather quickly turned into regular Yahtzee because holy CRAP did they design the flux capacitor "dice cup" poorly! It opens from the BACK, not the top, because of the electronics for the light-up element, and basically it just doesn't work as a dice cup as a result. We ended up getting an actual cup from the kitchen! The scoring rules were a bit arcane too, though we figured them out in the end. Dad won the game by being the only one to actually get a Yahtzee (five of a kind). We'll see what any future games bring!

-->Wrote a freeform "snippet" of Victor getting wings that's been in my head on and off for a while, mostly because I wanted to post it for "Magical Monday" on tumblr (figured I'd start the year off right with some fic). Think it came out pretty well, honestly -- I'll link it when it posts up there.

-->Got into Sims 4 and visited the Van Dorts. Today was another "bumming around the house" day for them, really, with Alice suffering increasing discomfort as her body made the change to vampire. She's not a full vamp yet, but she's aaalmost there. . . Victor also made "Companions" (the pet equivalent of best friends) with Scraps, and taught him not to play in puddles -- and Emma maxed her Communication skill! That's the lot of them, so there's a birthday coming up in her future! (She still has 16 days as a toddler, but I don't really see the point if she's maxed all skills. Suppose I could work on her values, but I feel that would be easier once she's a kid. . .and if she's a kid, she's slightly more independent, which helps out my plans for the parents.) So yeah, that's something to look forward to now with them too.

-->Watched on YouTube:

A) A new 60 Seconds video from Jay, as there's some new DLC out. There's a new pet you can get, a cat, and at least one ending that involves mysterious "secret agents" that you can help in return for being moved to a new, slightly nicer bunker. Apparently there's three others too, so I suspect Jay will have more fun 60 Seconds vids for us in the future!

B) The second part of the OXBox/OXtra Charades challenge -- while everyone remains horrible guessers, the OXBox team managed to pull it out by one point. Poor Luke and Ellen. . .always next year, guys!

C) The second half of the Dicestormer's Call of Cthulhu adventure, which was a lot of fun! The characters remained amusing, and the scenario took some interesting twists and turns as it reached its end. Perhaps a bit on the Lovecraft Lite side, but hey, that's how I like it. Too much cosmic despair is bad for you.

-->Got a bit more of my VictorLuvsAlice queue done, as I do~

-->And I'm doing the roleplay thing, as usual.

So yeah, not too bad. A little sad I didn't get to Helloween, but hell, I'm used to marathoning his stuff on Sundays. And I don't have too much to watch thanks to his holiday schedule -- one The Evil Within 2 set and one Donkey Kong Country 2 set. Totally doable before the night's movie (Home Alone! I was feeling nostalgic).

Anyway -- time for me to get back to my various comments and replies. Night all! Just one more day of 2017!
