Mostly because today was a very busy Monday where one of my coworkers was out on vacation, and another was out on a sick day. So it was just me and my supervisor, and there was a lot both of us had to get done, plus a big donor phoning in at one point, so. . . Just a very busy, very tense day as a result. Fortunately everything that did need to get done was accomplished, but. . . I dunno. I'm just hoping the coworker who isn't out on vacation this week can come in tomorrow. I don't particularly want Round 2 of this, even if there isn't quite so much hanging over our heads. I was so worn out that Dad and I skipped going out to get Mom's birthday present -- he's going shopping on Wednesday, so I instead gave him the money to pick it up for me, and then we'll get cards after work on that day. Whew.
Fortunately, a few things have made this day a bit better:
-->A couple of new The Sim Supply videos (unboxing a new PC, and doing the vampire death he missed in his previous "let's kill Bill Murray the Sim in all the different possible ways" video)
-->Getting another page done on my side personal fic (yeah, decided I needed a day or two to recharge on "Secundus 2" and "Fixing You") -- writing's always good
-->Getting fic from my friend Gigs! About the Van Dort family of Secundus attempting to adjust to their newest member, and maybe not doing the best job of it at first. Fortunately Lisa's there to help foster some communication.
So yeah, that's nice at least. Still, kinda looking forward to going to bed so I can leave this day behind. Fingers crossed Tuesday is better! Night all!
