Two Hours of Nice Weather, And Then. . .
Feb. 24th, 2018 11:39 pmYeah, woke up to it being sunny and in the mid-60s! Went out with Mom to the grocery store and to pick up some lunch from Twin's (meatball and sausage sub for Dad, spinach pies for Mom and me), and even opened up one of my windows for a while!
And then, while we were having lunch, the clouds rolled in, and before you knew it, it was 47 and raining. -.- Well, at least I got out for a bit during the good part of the day.
Between that little adventure, lunch, and my usual Saturday cleaning, didn't get on the computer until kinda late, so the day's been a bit rushed. I have, however:
-->Edited another part of "The Technicolor Phase" -- was rather embarrassed to find I'd remembered Scraps's coloring wrong! Fortunately it didn't affect the fic I was cleaning up, about Victor's first color, too much. I want to get a few more tweaked, then I'll see about posting them. Sunk a fair few hours into this fic -- want people to see it, after all!
-->Watched some Sim videos -- mainly some comparisons between dogs in the four iterations of the Sims games (I think Sims 2 pets were the best in terms of being able to click on them to at least view their needs and suchlike, and in having special "pet" needs like Chew for dogs), the evolution of woohoo in the franchise (from playing in a vibrating bed to taking a spin in a rocket ship!), what certain interactions look like in various games (Sims 2 and Sims 4 both have some passionate kisses!), Deli making a burger house (it's really cool -- she even themes the color scheme of the inside around cheese and pickles, aka yellow and green), and Deli making a three-house build based on Neapolitan ice cream (the three tiny houses themselves were cool, but I got annoyed that she kind of abandoned the color scheme of the "chocolate" house because she though it was too depressing. You come up with a theme for a build, you stick to it).
-->Watched Helloween's latest Donkey Kong Country 3 set -- he's finished the main game (after many, many deaths), and all that remains is to unlock the Lost World! Poor guy got super frustrated by iffy hitboxes in this one. And I was disappointed that the main boss was rather lame -- he doesn't even actively attack you in his fight! Just flies around hoping you've forgotten how to duck for the most part. Sad to see the series end on kind of a "meh" note.
-->Currently attempting to keep up on tumblr -- a bit of a feat, given that once again I had five million asks on TheValiceMultiverse. I've turned off anon questions for the moment to stop the flow and actually concentrate on threads for a moment.
And I've still got to answer the stuff in my inbox, and get my latest "Scenes from Secundus" ficlet posted. . . *whew* Why are Saturday nights always so busy, seriously?
Ah well, nothing for it but to dive right back in. While I'm gone, please enjoy this podfic of the first four chapters of "Scenes From Secundus"! Read by my friend Emma (a Doc RPer, amusingly enough). :) Night all!
