Their pop-ups crashed my internet one too many times!
FUCK YOU UP THE ASS, 150M.COM!
I'm moving. I don't care that it means doing my entire site over again, I can't STAND that place anymore! I'm sick and tired of not being able to look at my own site because their pop-ups FREEZE the entire fucking thing!
I'll copy down what text I've put up for that site later, then I'll tell them to terminate my service because I have found it consistently unsatisfactory. Asswipes, that's what they are, fucking asswipes.

*logging off now to get control of her emotions*

Uh-oh!

Ironically, pop-ups were the least of my troubles with that server. At least they didn't do to you what they did to me.

Yep, the Backies are fleeing 150m.com like rats from a sinking ship!

And, yes, they are asswipes!

That sucks that they have so many pop-ups, and I'm glad you're looking for a better place to host your site. One thing I'd like to suggest, though, is some kind of pop-up blocker. I used to have one, but it was kind of annoying and blocked pop-ups that weren't even ads (like pop-ups when you take a poll at bttf.com, for example), so I changed browsers. Now I use Mozilla Firefox and it blocks all pop-up ads without blocking ones that you actually want to open.

You can download it here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
Also, here's a thread at bttf.com about it: http://www.bttf.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=8;t=000755#000001

You could invest some money for an ISP. Then there's just no ads and much better service.

But $100/year can be spendy when you're young and unemployed, too!

Windows SP2

I'm sorry to hear about your computer crashing like that. It used to happen to me quite a lot, so I know what it's like.

Have you downloaded the SP2 pack for windows? Have you got Windows XP at all? The new service pack has a pop-up blocker that's really good - if there's a pop-up you want it to show then you can allow pop-ups temporarily.

If you're not on XP then there are other pop-up blockers like applescruffs85 mentioned, such as Yahoo. If you want to let a pop-up through then usually there's an option that allows you to do this.

I hope you find a better server. I haven't had any problems with mine (apart from ads and pop-ups!). Good luck!

Geocities. Go with them. I have. One little ad, and one pop-up ad occasionally. Easy-assed website builder, (It's like Microsoft Paint in it's ease) 14 MB of space, and with www.dot.tk, you can get your own little domain. ^^

I concur...

with Doc Lathrop Brown, I too use Geocities (call me wimpy of you will, but I choose Pagebuilder), however, 14MB at least for my picture heavy pages is not all that big so I have to keep creating mutiple identies (ssh, keep that quiet), so if you want a big website with lots of space and know HTML don't go there.

Anyways, off topic I visited your webpage (works OK for me, but I've got that pop-up blocker- which I turn off when I go to BTTF.com because they don't have annoying pop ups), and saw that you've got Hill Valley up and running in Sims 2. They all look great! :O)

Oh and if you made Dave and Linda adult sims that's the reason you can't make 'em related to George and Lorraine (also adult sims) and Marty (a teenage sim). You have to make the kiddies younger than the parents, which might work for Linda (she's 19 in the movies), but not Dave unless you want to give him a lot of Exlirs of Life while he's in the red and make him grow up earlier than his siblings. Don't know how good his memories will be if you go down that road but interesting none the less.

Best of luck with finding a new webserver- I also can't leave Geocities because I can't find one that works for me, I upload my stuff and everything and it just won't work.

Humbugs!

I do have Windows XP, but I didn't even know about this SP2 pack. I'll look around for it, see if it works.

I actually think the place that hosts your site is related to 150m.com, so *shrug*.

I've got the same problem you have for my sims pages. *hmm* But thanks, both of you, for suggesting the place. I have to admit, Geocities is probably one of the better ones.

Yeah, I found that out when I tried to. I figured it didn't matter too much, as long as Linda and Dave refrained from hitting on the parents. I'm planning to move them out shortly after they all get their house, anyway. Thanks for the compliment, I'm trying my best! Still gotta print out Gareth's map, though.

Yeah, I still remember about your site being deleted. Did you have to try five times to get a picture uploaded for your site? Or wonder if a file had been uploaded.
Fecking eejits. (Father Ted rocks)
