crossover_chickThird noreaster in ten days, and this one was a doozy -- Dad's sure we've got like a foot of snow out there. It was going strong pretty much the whole day, just piling up and piling up and blowing around -- work was definitely right to cancel! The snow's finally stopped now, but the wind will apparently remain a bit of a problem for a bit longer. Work has a delay on for 9:30 -- however, given the weather, my parents want to take me in, and Mom has a doctor's appointment at 9 for her eye, so it's possible that -- if the place they're going to is open -- I'll be going in regular time and messing around on the computer again until it's time to start. *shrug* I'll survive -- got a whole day off for this mess. What worries me is that there's the possibility of YET ANOTHER STORM NEXT WEEK. I mean, SERIOUSLY?! March is PUMMELING US! I'm starting to worry we're never actually going to see summer. :(
Anyway, had a pretty quiet day at home, hanging out and helping Mom where I could -- she's miserable thanks to having to keep her head down so much. Neck's cramping like crazy, apparently. :( Hopefully she'll get some good news at her appointment tomorrow. . . Things I accomplished today include:
-->Writing some more on "Secundus 2" -- finished up another chapter, moving onto the "telescope bit" from Part III for the next one. I'm all in favor of Doc and Clara being cute and the rest of the gang being amused by it.
-->Watching Linkara's "Infinity Wars" review (less confusing than "Infinite Crisis," but didn't involve the heroes quite as much and had worse artwork)
-->Playing some Sims 4 -- just some nice fluffy family stuff with the McFlys for the most part. I also started on remodeling their house -- emphasis on started. After about two hours the downstairs is only semi-completed, and I don't even really have an upstairs yet. Figured I can finish it this weekend. On the plus side, the McFlys are going to be my first family to use stuff from the Laundry Day stuff pack! So that's cool.
-->Watching a couple of build videos (a Jungle Cabana and a "color palette" challenge (pick a random color palette from a site that creates them and build a room around it)) and the latest "Jungle Adventures" set from The Sim Supply (Kat's new roomie/boyfriend Mario tried to burn down said cabana, and James had to spend a ton of time cleaning up and selling artifacts again. He's ALMOST got enough money for his museum now though! Just one more trip (or possibly visiting one of Kat's vet clinics and harvesting lots of dragonfruit) should do it!)
-->Watching Helloween's latest System Shock 2 set (he is going full psychic now with psychic healing, an ability that stops his guns from degrading while it's on, and an ability that turns him and the area around him into a burnination zone -- I look forward to the fun he's going to have with THAT)
-->Watching a "Fun With Shorts" about -- how ballistic missiles are guided. Yes, seriously. Josh, where do you FIND these things. . .
