Somewhat Better Friday
Mar. 16th, 2018 11:39 pmI mean, it was still fairly stressful, but at least I could concentrate on specific projects for longer periods of time, and I managed to knock off a few projects here and there. And I might have cracked the case with my pile o'paper project, though we'll see for sure on Monday. Or maybe Tuesday, since we have to run the reports on Monday instead of usual time because there's a big meeting on Tuesday that everyone wants updated numbers for. But yeah, I was able to get some stuff done -- and, for a change, the traffic wasn't absolutely miserable! That always helps my mood.
Did struggle a bit with the writing today -- got another chunk on "Fixing You," reintroducing the new Conglomeration monster, but I feel like it could use some extra polish? Gotta remind myself that there's another round of editing after this. . . Of course, it doesn't help that I've started writing a maze section and -- well, my sense of direction isn't good even in my head. I have so many problems trying to picture how places connect to each other. . . Fortunately a hop into Paint allowed me to draw a rough map of the route I want Victor and Alice to take, and the obstacles they'll face along the way, and now I think I should be good to continue. (I hope, anyway.)
Rest of the night has been various forms of catching up on stuff, including watching Helloween's teaser of his new LP (Deadly Premonition! This should be interesting), and the Kubz Scouts investigating the new Yandere Simulator build (the lore is getting particularly hot when it comes to how the high school came into existence). No big plans for the weekend, beyond finishing the McFlys' new digs in Sims 4 and generally helping out around the house. Going to be a cold weekend, apparently. *grumbles* I was really hoping this was not going to be another year where we were wearing sweaters straight up until June. *sigh* I guess we'll see for sure later.
For now, I still have a few things to answer. Gonna try to make it an earlyish night -- I am tired. Need my sleep. Night all!
