Busy Saturday: Revenge of the Chores

crossover_chickNot only my usual room cleaning (semi-usual, anyway -- I ended up skipping the "swiffer the floors" part because I was hungry and lunch wasn't happening until I helped make it), I also had to empty the drainer first thing after I woke up (full to bursting from last night), do part of the laundry, help Mom with the bills, help make lunch, and do a bunch of dishes. Not exactly my favorite way to spend a Saturday morning, but with Mom still needing to sit still and keep her head down a lot (although she insisted on helping make lunch and dinner), and Dad doing his work thing on the computer. . . At least this should mean I have Sunday to myself.
Once we got past lunch, though, things slowed down a bit, and I was able to get onto my regular activities:
-->Wrote a gift fic for a tumblr friend who's birthday is coming up soon -- Dirk Gently crossover. Rough draft, but a quick polishing next week should make it a little shinier
-->Watched some riddle videos, and a couple of lists from RabbidLuigi
-->Booted up Sims 4 and spent another two hours finishing up renovation of the McFly house. Took some doing, let me tell you! I almost abandoned the idea of making it two stories until I discovered the new "master bedroom" didn't allow enough space for Marty and Jennifer to sleep in their bed. I also ended up moving the bathroom upstairs and putting a new, much less glamorous bathroom downstairs after I realized I was making everyone walk downstairs if they wanted to bathe, which seemed a bit silly. Marlene still doesn't have her own space, but I figure she's okay in the bassinet in her parents' room for now -- and then, when I come back around to the McFlys and turn her into a toddler, she can bunk with Douglas until there's enough money for him to get his own room. I also did laundry for the first time in the game! Not much to it, but the "search through pockets" feature is a good way to get a few extra bucks. Now, time to move onto Eric! Need to think of some interesting things to do with him. . .
-->Watched The Sim Supply's latest "Jungle Adventures" video -- Kat had another successful trip to Selvadorada and was finally able to buy her museum! Which James is struggling to set up in a logical manner. XD Ah well, I'm sure it'll all come together in the end.
-->Watched a Fun With Shorts about "Goldilocks" -- which featured real bears. Clearly on leads, no less. Josh was not impressed, and neither were most of the people in the comments. Oh Centron. . .
-->Watched Helloween's latest set of Bayonetta 2 -- featuring the return of Luka! :D I've got a soft spot for the dork. Also features tons of cool fights, including one set inside a village-wrecking whirlpool with lightning. This game is so amazing-looking :D I'm really looking forward to seeing more.
-->Got another "Scene From Secundus" up: Inspiration, about Victor's glowing butterfly dreams. Short but sweet.
-->And now I'm doing a bit of the RP thing on tumblr and queuing stuff up on my main for later. Time to get back to that, probably -- night all!
