Back To The Stress, As Per Usual
Mar. 22nd, 2018 11:19 pmFelt a bit overwhelmed at work this morning, catching up on all sorts of various projects that have been dumped in my lap -- however, pushed past it, and managed to end the day with some feeling of accomplishment! Mainly, I got the credit cards and direct debits that I needed to get done done, finished up the billing files that needed doing, did some imports, and started on some capital campaign reports (though those aren't coming out right, so I'll have to figure out how to fix them tomorrow). So that was nice, at least. Hopefully I can keep up the good work tomorrow -- it being Friday will help a lot, I'm sure. And then a three-day week next week -- I expect it to be super busy. Hopefully it'll just make the long weekend that follows feel even sweeter. Ahhh, a long chunk of consecutive days off. . .
Other things of note today:
-->Weather was actually worse this morning than it was yesterday! Some fairly steady snow that got me worried about how the weather might be trending (namely, if the storm that was supposed to come in yesterday would instead hit today), and thus I got a ride with Dad. Turns out the snow wasn't that bad, and it was over by noontime, so I worried for nothing, but -- well, you just know it would have gotten super-icky if I HAD braved it on my own. . .
-->Got another page on "Secundus 2" -- gang talking about going to the festival and inadvertently getting Doc all nervous about his impromptu "date." XD Next up is the festival itself, which shall be a good time until the Tannens show up. Looking forward to getting everybody out on the dance floor.
-->Watched some more riddle videos, an OXBox list about ways enemy AI can be dumb and we all love them for it (because sometimes you just need a breather), and Helloween's latest System Shock 2 set, which was largely exploring the Hydroponics area and finding more goodies/creepy audio logs/hybrids and terrifying midwives (cyborg women of doom with tragic backstories -- nobody VOLUNTEERED to become one, let's say). All good stuff -- AND I have some more Sim Supply waiting on the back burner. :)
-->Did my ValiceMultiverse queue and answered my inbox stuff -- always good to get that out of the way. Lends an air of competence to my day.
And now -- well, gonna reblog a couple of things, then get to bed. Had kind of a shitty time trying to get to sleep last night, and I'd like to try and do better tonight. Wish me luck for tomorrow -- night all!
