Just Another Busy Day

crossover_chickMostly due to me having to constantly interrupt what I was trying to do -- the parish weekly reports -- with other things as people asked me to do them. Or as I noticed somebody was going to do the GL with incomplete paperwork. . . *sigh* At least today I was able to complete a Letter Concepts import without issue. (Beyond a new one coming in right at the end of the day.) I was also able to get all the parish weekly reports done (thanks in part to there not being so many of them) AND the capital campaign ones, so that's something. And I apparently have a lead in to fixing one parish's mess of capital campaign papers, so we'll see what comes of that tomorrow. Main highlight of the work day? Traffic actually being REASONABLE getting out! I was able to use the highway and get home just before five! Missed that. . .
Evening was pretty nice. Mom's eye is apparently good, and what she thought was an infection was just her stitches (uh, yes, she has stitches in her eye. Part of repairing her retina. It is creepy, yes). But she's good to go for whatever she wants to do now. As for me, I got back up to speed on "Fixing You" and continued the Colossal Nell scene -- which is going in a slightly different direction than I originally imagined, but then again that's common with this story. So much rewriting, so little time. . . After that was supper and "Live At The Apollo" (stand-up comedy show -- the episode we found tonight was fantastic, featuring some great comedians -- including Eddie Izzard!), then I watched some "Super Sim" -- Max has finally made a move on his friend Paolo! Which led to some speed-dating (James canceled the first one when he got gold), two woohoos, and a boyfriend relationship. Sadly for Paolo, James wants to complete the "Serial Romantic" aspiration first, so he's not going to have Max's exclusive attention for a while. I don't know if he's the guy Max ends up marrying (since I'm sure Max has a spouse and kids later in the series), but it'll be interesting to see!
I also watched the latest "Atop the Fourth Wall" -- Power Rangers vs Beetleborgs! The latter I've never heard of, the former I only ever watched Mighty Morphin and thus never got to the iteration of the team -- Turbo -- featured in the comic. But it was some good cheesy, goofy fun, even if the comic wasn't all that great. And the storyline stuff was interesting -- a battle in the contest for Linkara at last! Against a real jerk too -- fuck off back to your own dimension, Scarn. Meh.
And then the rest of the night has been catching up on various things and doing queue-related stuff on VictorLuvsAlice. Very typical Wednesday. So time for me to hit the sack. We'll see what tomorrow brings -- weatherman says less rain but more wind. And we're supposed to get some non-accumulating snow on Friday. . .bleh. Can't wait for the weather to get nicer. Night all!
