Not My Most Productive Sunday Either
Apr. 15th, 2018 11:37 pmGot caught up in reading tumblrs this morning (and then had to deal with one not exactly crashing my Firefox, but slowing it down so I had to restart), and then this afternoon turned into a Helloween marathon, which got me caught up on his portion of YouTube, but stopped me getting to any video games myself. So no BioShock 2 or Sims 4 this weekend for me. Kinda annoys me, since I did at least have a vague plan for Eric's last day of mega-update, but at least I have the buffer from the long Easter weekend to keep me going in updates.
I also didn't do any writing on "Secundus 2" -- instead, I did a quick scene for something else that's based on an idea that's been in my head a while. I think I needed to get that out so I could refresh my brain for the coming week. Certainly better than being totally stuck in writer's block, like I was yesterday for a while. Again, I'm blaming this largely on "that time of the month" -- seemed to hit me hard this time around. Maybe it's a combination of that and the weather -- perhaps if it had stayed nicer out for more of Saturday. . .
Ah well. I DID catch up on my Helloween, as indicated above. Another unfortunate woman has met her end in Deadly Premonition, in a frankly terrifying tonal shift. Fortunately Helloween was able to bring the mood back up a bit in his second set with some fun sidequests, including Emily's horrific cooking skills. (Who starts out making Italian Beef Stew and ends up with macaroni and cheese?) In Bayonetta 2, we have finally reached Hell and started messing up some demons, while getting some interesting backstory on Bayonetta's parents. And in System Shock 2, SHODAN is planning to scupper the Von Braun, but needs the protag to upload her onto the escape vessel first. You are a pretty shitty "goddess," SHODAN. I also watched a "Fun With Shorts" about Smokey the Bear (and a creepy kid who makes friends with sentient trees), and another episode of "Super Sim" (we're just a skillpoint and a few dollars away from completing two more aspirations!). So yeah, can't say I didn't enjoy all that. And I did my ValiceMultiverse queue too, so that's something.
And now it is time for bed. At least I'm on the tail end of my period now. . .hoping Monday will serve as a good "reset" for my brain and I can get back into my regular groove. Night all!
