Somewhat Up and Down Saturday

crossover_chickYeah -- the day started off kind of low with my parents working on the poison ivy patches outside (in special suits so they wouldn't get covered in the stuff) and Dad getting all grumpy about it because -- well, a little while back, when we had another nice Saturday, he was clearing what we thought was bittersweet out of our side yard, and -- yeah, that's how we found out about the poison ivy. *wince* He's doing all right, but he ended up having to go to a doctor because he had such a bad reaction to the stuff. So naturally he was worried about getting more, and was all on-edge because of it. Which, of course, put me and Mom on-edge. Not fun.
Lunch was a little better -- watched an old 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown -- and then we went off to Lincoln Woods State Park. Weather was gorgeous, meaning the park was pretty full. We found a space to park, though, and went out for a pretty good walk! I severely outpaced my parents at the beginning, particularly since they stopped to talk to someone -- they ended up having to run to keep up with me XD But yeah, it was a good walk, and I enjoyed seeing the park and getting the air. Then we went driving around for a bit -- mostly because Mom took a wrong turn and got us a touch lost, but still. On a day like today, you don't particularly mind. :p
Once we did get home, I did some writing -- got more done on "The Technicolor Phase" at last! Pushed past that bit with Lizzie that was giving me trouble, hoorah. Then we had supper (some nice Chinese food), and then Mom suggested we have mini-sundaes. The original plan was to go out for ice cream, but by that time it was getting colder and darker, so we decided just to get some hot fudge and whipped cream and do 'em at home. I had mine with Helloween's latest Bayonetta set (Bayonetta has finished her trip to the past and kicking ass with Mum, and now has to get the younger version of her father to go after the right member of what appears to be a pair of twins. . .), followed up by a "Super Sim" episode (Max has FINALLY gotten that fish he was looking for, and spent 100 hours on the computer, so he's completed the "Curator" and "Computer Whiz" aspirations! And he's invited his former maid to live with him, in the hopes that he can age her down from elder and thus have a family with her. No go on that so far though).
And then McAfee alerted me to another problem on my computer.
And then my computer froze up for a minute.
Yeah, that wasn't fun. Fortunately it unfroze itself after a little bit, and the McAfee issue once again appears to be "you already deleted this file!" -- I rebooted my computer after getting it to work again, and I'm running another scan to make sure. But that was damn annoying. And a touch scary -- need to make some more backups of my stuff.
But I'm back into better things now -- put up another Scene from Secundus, Come And Join The Dance, did my usual queueing on VictorLuvsAlice, and now I'm handling the Valice Multiverse. And the stuff in my inbox. Best get back to that now -- tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and colder, so I'm thinking YouTube marathons shall be happening. And video gaming -- I never did get to BioShock 2 today. Meh. Replies now -- night all!
