Busy Monday -- But Without Many Interruptions

Which completely confused me, as I expected to be interrupted CONSTANTLY today, what with the new database people coming in to take a look at our current system. O.o But nope, they left me alone, which was fine with me. Left me enough time to actually get all my damn work done for a change -- including running credit cards and direct debits! Haven't done THAT on time in aaaaages. I do have a new project for tomorrow, but I think I can manage to get that and my usual Tuesday stuff done. Fingers crossed!

Another nice thing -- weather was BEAUTIFUL today! Like, seriously gorgeous. Got in both my lunch and afternoon walks and thoroughly enjoyed them. :) It's just so refreshing when it's nice out and you can enjoy the sunshine. Helps keep the batteries charged, that's for sure. Tomorrow's not supposed to be so nice, but after that the rest of the week is looking pretty good. We'll see what happens on the weekend, but the consensus seems to be Saturday at least will be nice. Fingers crossed!

-->Getting another page done on "Fixing You" -- Victor having a little chat with Dr. Wilson about how he's sorry he hasn't been talking to him, and Wilson assuring him it's okay

-->Watching Helloween's latest A:MR revisit set (despite YouTube being a dick and refusing to show Part 2 on my subscription feed) -- we're done with the Deluded Depths and are preparing for Radcliffe and the Mysterious East!

-->Getting more of my queue done on VictorLuvsAlice -- nice to have the Sims update out of the way, at least!

So yeah, not a bad start to the week, really. I just hope that doesn't mean it's going to go downhill from here. <.< >.> Anyway, gotta empty out my inbox and answer a few last things -- night all!

YouTube didn't show part 2 for me either.

I'm still watching videos in my queue from December, so it's gonna be a while before I get to any new stuff. Heh.

The absolutely weird thing is, when I started watching Part 1, Part 2 popped up on the sidebar thing, thumbnail and all. So why the heck isn't it in my feed?? Damn it, YouTube. . .

By the time I get to the "new" stuff it'll be "old" stuff, haha.

That's the thing, though. When you boil it down I really don't. I mean, last week I had that thing at the Y I had to go to but that's not going to be an all-the-time thing (and thank GAWD since I don't think I have the stamina to dress up like that all the time...took me a freaking hour to do my makeup due to the fact that a- I had to Google how and b- having my glasses off I couldn't see a thing).

The weekdays are pretty condensed. I'm up between 5:30 and 6am to get myself and Antoinette ready to drop her off at before care at 7:30, I'm at work from 8:15 to 4:45, it's 6pm by the time I get home. Then it's find something for dinner and make sure Antoinette gets in bed by a decent hour so we can do it all over again the next day. I've also been trying to exercise more since I hate the way I look right now but we both know how great I am at that.

Weekends I've been sleeping late when there's nothing going on so the day's half over by the time I get up (my own fault, I know) and I either go to the barn or do whatever laundry and dishes I didn't do during the week. And if there's something going on, well that's the day shot.

Ehh, sorry. I didn't mean to unload on you like that. So I have a Sim now that I'm trying to max out all skills and do all the aspirations (had to use a Mod to switch career branches for the Chef/Mixologist one). I think Gardening and Vampire are the last ones she needs in Skills but for the Aspirations I forgot which ones she's already done.

Oh, also remember me telling you about Once Upon a Time? The series had its grand finale but they introduced the concept of multiple Enchanted Forests (to go with the multiple versions of characters in different stories). How's this for twisted?

In this version of the story, Alice is the daughter of Mother Gothel (who is also Mother Nature) and Captain Hook from another realm (Gothel tricked him into sleeping with her while she was disguised as Rapunzel). Oh, and Alice in love with the daughter of Robin Hood (who's also named Robin in his honor) and the Wicked Witch of the West when she was disguised as Maid Marion.

I'm going to miss this show, haha.

It's all right -- I get it, I really do. My days aren't as busy as yours (probably because I don't have a child to wrangle as well), but I do have my job 8:30 to 4:30, which has been super stressful as of late. It's like -- we're still limping along with a reduced staff (and a temp now, who is taking care of some of the smaller stuff, which is good), and there ALWAYS seems to be more demands on my time than I can keep up with. It's getting harder and hard to try and leave the stress at the office too. I mean, I'm fully willing to admit that I just don't handle stress all that well in general, but -- it wears you down. Even some of my leisure time stuff has started to feel like a second job: "If I don't get this watched and that typed up and this queued, it's all going to pile up and spiral out of control." *deep sigh* I really miss feeling like I could take a day reading fanfic and not have it feel like a waste.

Oooh, a Super Sim challenge - nice. :) And yeah, that's a little annoying that you can accidentally lock yourself out of one aspiration if you're not careful. Hooray for the modding community. Vampire goes up pretty quick in my experience, so she should be good there soon enough. I wish you luck with that! :) Emmett and Nikal are back from their Selvadorada trip now -- gonna stick with them one more in-game day, then it's over to Chell, Wheatley, and Geeker, and me seeing if I can't get a start on Chell's bakery already.

A little. . . And huh. I thought my crossovers could get weird and chaotic. XD That's a heck of a family tree for both of them. Well, at least they can sympathize about their parental situations. :p Shame it's over, but multiple Enchanted Forests seem ripe for spin-offs. Fingers crossed?
