Semi-Nice Sunday
Jun. 10th, 2018 11:43 pmThis is referring mainly to the weather, which was distinctly cooler and cloudier than it was yesterday. Definitely a longer pants day. *grumbles* But it was still nice enough for my standard walk around the block, and it never actually rained, so -- big improvement on a lot of Sundays past, that's for damn sure.
The Sunday round-up, for the curious:
-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" -- Victor just fainted after storming in on Alice giving birth after she screamed (invoked some unpleasant memories for him). Depending on how things go with the writing, I might be finishing up this story this week! Definitely this month, that's for damn sure. w000 progress!
-->Caught up on my YouTubery, including a RabbidLuigi video of the top 5 weirdest moments at E3 (and there have been many); a reaction video from The Sim Supply and Deligracy about the "holidays" trailer for The Sims 4 Seasons (the tired Australians were quite intrigued by many things); the next two episodes of James's "Mad Scientist" LP (he is getting his money's worth out of his Sim Ray's Transform feature -- he's been transforming lots of stuff into furnishings for his house XD); another episode of "Super Sim" (Max has thrown another gold-level birthday party, this time for his eldest, Maxine -- he's also maxed out Comedy skill and thus finished the Joke Star aspiration, w000!); and Helloween's latest Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes set (featuring both ridiculous bullet-time badassery from Snake and surprisingly heartbreaking monologues from defeated villains). Good stuff.
-->Did a double dip of gaming today! Hit BioShock 2 and FINALLY got past the place it was crashing so much in -- I looked up something online and made a change to the launch options, and things seem to be running much more smoothly now. At the very least, I've finally gathered all of the plants I need for the "boss," and now I'm just goodie-hunting until I go confront him. Also now have max-level Incinerate and Insect Swarm. Both are awesome and well worth the ADAM. :)
Then it was over to Sims 4 this afternoon -- my intent was to send Chell and Wheatley to Chell's new shop and sell things -- but then Geeker got a call to go on a date from his love interest Dario, and I couldn't pass that up. So instead we spent the day with them. :) If you're wondering WHY I'm doing so much Simming all of a sudden, it's because when the new patch hits for Seasons, I'm probably not going to be able to play for a bit. I'm not playing without my MC Command Center, and I don't know how long it'll take him to update his mod. So this way I have a buffer -- and I can guarantee that my OTP can be the first to experience Seasons and weather. :)
-->And I just emptied out my inbox and did my queuing for TheValiceMultiverse, so it's time to hit the sack for a new day of work tomorrow. Lovely. . . Night all!
