Quiet Father's Day

crossover_chickWe all just hung around the house, mostly -- it was pretty hot day out there, so it wasn't very conducive to doing much more than that. Dad liked the card I got him, and the crab legs Mom and I purchased the other day, so that was nice. Now we just need to get his birthday present. . .might do that this weekend, honestly, get it out of the way so we're all set with plenty of time to spare.
Anyway, accomplishments for today:
-->FINISHED "SECUNDUS 2: WEIRD WEIRD WEST!" :D Yup, that's the big one -- I did Chester's name reveal, then realized I was still going on at a good clip and decided to just push on to the end! So yeah, rough draft is officially in the can! Gonna put that to the side for now and let it percolate for a while as I work on finishing off "Fixing You" and getting that post-ready. I should be able to get a teaser chapter up for Christmas, at least -- fingers crossed I can do something a little sooner!
-->Got a solid chunk done on BioShock 2 -- in fact, I'm very close to finishing the game, it seems! O.o Delta's defeated Alex the Great and his splicer army (I shocked him to death at Gil Alexander's request -- also because his splicer army was annoying as FUCK), then moved onto Persephone Detention Center, fought two Big Sisters at once (eep!), got technically reunited with Eleanor, had to watch as Lamb killed her for long enough to basically ensure Delta's death, and then controlled a Little Sister for a bit to get Eleanor a Big Sister suit and get her help in breaking out. Good stuff, though I'm a little surprised to be this close to the end! I thought there was more to the Persephone bit. . .maybe I'm thinking of something I read about that's in the DLC, though. Hmmmm. At any rate, Eleanor and Delta still have to fight their way out -- we'll see how that goes this upcoming weekend. Then -- well, I was gonna say "onto BioShock Infinite," but I should see if I've got that DLC for BS2 first. Might as well play that too, right?
-->Watched Helloween's Lust for Darkness playthrough -- the story goes a little fast and is a little undercooked, as one commenter said, but DAMN if the visuals weren't appropriately Lovecraftian/Giger-esque as hell. It's a game designed to make you feel uncomfortable, and it pulls it off very well. Helloween seemed reasonably impressed by it anyway. Kinda hoping he does the side stories -- of course, the game being what it is, he might not want the fuss from YouTube about "adult content." ^^;
-->Also watched some OXBox and OXtra lists on upcoming games (the Resident Evil 2 remake and The Last of Us 2 -- what is it with me and 2s today?), and Deli's highlights reel of the Sims 4 Seasons Livestream (thank you Deli!). That, coupled with the SimsVIP's in-depth sum-up of it, means I didn't watch the Livestream itself -- I've still got it in Watch Later, but I dunno if I'll bother. We'll see how I feel this weekend, I suppose. Would be nice to keep me occupied as I wait for my mods to update. . .
-->Speaking of Sims, got my pictures ready for the next Newcrest Adventures Wednesday update on my tumblr -- gonna be a three-parter! Chell, Wheatley, and Geeker did a lot that day. Hopefully I can get the actual update done tomorrow and keep ahead on my queue.
-->And did my queuing on Valice Multiverse and answered everything in the inbox. As you do.
So yeah, not bad. Certainly got everything on the to-do list done, and that's always good. *nods* Time to go to bed and rest up for another workday. At least for me this upcoming week's a bit shorter. . .night all!
