crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)

More for my parents than for me, though I did have the fun task at work today of e-mailing people about their capital campaign pledges and the need to update their info on the website. Always worry about how people will respond. . . And trying to figure out how to set up the new campaign for next year so we can take on pre-appeal gifts, what with churches apparently merging all over the place. . . *sigh* I really want to go back to the days of working on smaller projects like the roster maintenance. Worrying about all this stuff is not fun.

Worse is us getting ripped off by a garage (car needed a minor repair -- mechanics replaced a part and ended up way overcharging us) and the cable company (our bill got jacked up without notice -- it was a promotional rate, but some warning would have been appreciated! We're planning on switching to just internet service to lower it again) today -- my parents were not happy about either situation. Neither am I, frankly, because a) that's extra expenses we really don't need and b) it just makes the whole atmosphere around the house tense and stressed out. Fortunately it wasn't too bad tonight, but still. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

On the plus side, I:

-->Got another chunk of "Fixing You" chapter 1 edited! Almost to the end of my tweaking, then I can prep it for posting. :)

-->Watched the next available Atop The Fourth Wall, "The Electric Tale of Pikachu" #3! Which was technically #2, but because the artist got a little too close to his hentai roots with some of the ladies' outfits (seriously, Misty's swimsuit is shocking for a TWELVE YEAR OLD), the American version needed to be tweaked, and the delay meant they released issue 3 as issue 2. So yeah. The actual story was okay (Misty battling Ash and talking about how he has to earn his Pokemon's respect), but it was definitely no great shakes either.

-->Watched Helloween's latest RE4 set, where the hunt for sweet loot continues! Also, we're trying to keep the president's daughter, Ashley, from dying. And not always succeeding. XD Poor Helloween got her killed by accidentally triggering her to keep standing in front of an El Gigante instead of running to safety over by him, leading to her being flung around like a meaty doll. Fortunately, reloads saved the day. :p Leon himself died to a group of infected villagers, so it all evens out in the end.

So that was all nice. And I should have one more day for catching up on stuff too, before Helloween returns with his delightful-but-long sets. :p Love ya, Hells, but you do eat up my free time a bit.

Anyway! Gotta clear out the inbox and go to bed. Capital Campaign reports tomorrow, and hopefully some rain to clear out the muggy weather. Though it's supposed to be pretty icky right during the evening commute. . .well, we'll see how it goes. Night all!
