Well, That Evening Could Have Gone Better

crossover_chickMostly because a fucking fly got into the house and proceeded to harass me (and my Dad) pretty much the entire evening, starting with supper and ending just a few minutes ago when I finally got the chance to smash the damn thing. I was actually thinking I could get some stuff done tonight, but I ended up wasting over half an hour waiting for the damn thing to land, trying to smack it, then waiting some more. So damn relieved it finally stopped somewhere I could smack it!
Other than that, it wasn't that bad a day. Work was quiet -- I started up a project that's due early next week for one of our mailing companies, caught up on some maintenance, ran some reports, stuff like that. At home, I got some more edits done on "Fixing You" Chapter 2 -- I'm almost done, but the last of them will have to come tomorrow. I think it's all worked out for the best, but we'll see if I make any last-minute changes when it comes time to post it. I also watched Helloween's latest Dark Souls: Remastered set (a journey through the Painted World, which ends with NOT killing Priscilla, the place's boss, and instead just leaving like she asks; and a trip back into the DLC to definitely kill a big fuck-off dragon), and another episode of "Super Sim" (James has officially given up on getting all the toddler skills with Jayda (although he did at least get them all to level 3), and has started the process of Max turning into a vampire! w000~). And that's when the fly came in, so any hope of watching anything else or getting a head start on queues went out the window. >.< I managed to finish my Valice Multiverse queue anyway, along with my posts for tomorrow on VictorLuvsAlice. Hooray for being able to draft a few things on my lunch break. It really makes all the difference sometimes.
So, yeah, down to the typical "answer the last things in my inbox and go to bed." Half-day tomorrow, yay~ And I should be getting a new computer in (it was part of the budget at work), so that'll be interesting. Hopefully it won't take too long to get that changed over and get used to the new one. . . Fingers crossed, anyway. Night all!
