crossover_chick: Victor on the ground with one hand up with the text "Nooo! Anything but the fangirls!" (CB: save Victor from the fangirls!)

Yup, it finally happened -- today, after lunch, the parents invaded my room and fixed my ceiling fan! It's been wobbly for a while -- pretty much ever since we moved in, in fact. My mom looked it up on the web and found out the likely cause was the mount's screws slowly coming loose. So my mom and dad disassembled the whole thing (I was on flashlight and screw-holding duty), tightened the mount, checked the wiring on my lights, and then put it all back together. It wasn't the easiest thing in the world, but now I can use my ceiling fan on every speed without it shaking and making me worry it might just fall out of the ceiling. O.o And I can use all three of my lights now -- I was pretty sure one of the sockets burned out bulbs quicker than the other two, but Dad said the wiring was fine, and Mom suggested it might have been the wobble that was causing the problem, so. . . *shrug* They also fixed the kitchen fan while they were at it -- though that just involved adjusting a few screws and getting new bulbs and shades for the light fixture part of it. Still, good to have both of those in decent working order again.

Other than that, not much to say about today -- it was a gloomy, humid, rainy Saturday, so there wasn't much to do. I lazed around most of the morning -- it took me til about noon to get dressed and get my bed made. Normally I get going a bit sooner than that. . .of course, normally I also have to clean my room on Saturdays -- this time it was just changing my sheets. So yeah. I did get a few things accomplished, though:

-->Edited another chunk of "The Technicolor Phase" -- the reworked "piano duet" scene from Corpse Bride, which now, er, does not have the piano duet. Mostly because Emily discovering Victoria's existence went differently, so she snaps back that Victor is engaged when he tries to apologize through the music. They still make up, but it's in a much different way. I actually sort of did this in two parts -- one part in the early afternoon, then one part around dinnertime. It turned out to be longer than expected, and I was gonna leave the other half for another day -- and then, while waiting for dinner to be ready, I figured I might as well keep going. Hey, gotta keep the buffer running! Especially since we're coming up on a new bit I need to add in to get a little more Alice action in there. . .

-->Watched some Kubz Scouts (more Baldi's Basics stuff, including someone converting the game to Unreal Engine) and another episode of "Super Sim" (James has moved Nathalie out of the house in favor of three more cats (two adults and one kitten), then had two of the adult cats mate, which resulted in two more kittens. As you might imagine, he's going slightly mad trying to keep track of all of them, fulfill Max's current Animal aspiration, and stop the game from glitching out too much. I'm actually genuinely getting worried that his current break is because the save Max lives in went kaput -- the game was NOT having a fun time this episode).

-->Played some BioShock 2: Minerva's Den -- I was going to hop back into Sims 4 and see if I could finally finish the Van Dort's new house, but between the lazy morning, the fan thing, editing "The Technicolor Phase," and getting distracted bumming around the web, I didn't feel I had enough time to dedicate to it (mostly because it was already 8 o'clock at night and I still wanted to watch some YouTube stuff). So back into Rapture it was, for a pretty solid play session -- had my final gather with my Little Sister, cured her, then killed the hell out of a Big Sister with the help of a bunch of traps (a few even left over from the first gather, in fact! hehehe~). Got the place unfrozen, killed a few fellow Alpha Series sicced on me by Wahl (the main villain), spent a ton of ADAM at the Gatherer's Garden (got the Decoy Plasmid, upgraded some of my other Plasmids (Insect Swarm 3 for the win!), and opened up a bunch of gene tonic slots for funsies), and made it into the Core Control. Now I just have to navigate the maintenance tunnels to get to Wahl and the main brain of the Thinker. Which means I'm probably gonna finish off this game this week! :) Been a fun ride, and I'll be sad to see Rapture go. . .but I am kind of eager to get to Infinite and Columbia. . .

-->Got up another (heavily edited) Scene from Secundus: the other "glowing" prompt I did, from Winter Bingo Card 4. Probably spent longer than I should have tweaking that, but I think it was worth. Also meant I could get my queue up on VictorLuvsAlice for the next few days -- I may have cut my activity there severely for my vacation, but that doesn't take too long, usually, and I wanted to keep the fanfic updates coming. Just a little something for my followers.

And now, I'm gonna take care of the stuff in my inbox and just bum around again until I go to bed. No clue what the status of the zoo trip is -- mostly because the weather is apparently supposed to be pretty miserable for most of the week. >.< Thursday's supposed to be okay, so Mom's looking at rearranging her schedule so we can go to Canobie Lake Park that day instead of Tuesday, but the rest of the trips. . . We'll see, I guess. *sigh* We're trying to think of alternate "rain plan" stuff to do as well. At least my mall trip will be completely inside.

But that's to worry about tomorrow. For now, inbox. Night all!
