I finally moved in a Hill Valley family!
Nov. 5th, 2004 10:42 pmIt's the elder McFlys, on Oak Park cemetary. I built them a little house (with an outhouse ;p) and just let them at it. Seamus and Maggie, being family Sims, are very affectionate with each other. Will's a fortune Sims and wants nicer stuff. He also loves the dart game I decided to get them so they'd have something fun to do.
-M: Cool. So is Will getting married?-
Yeah, just so you'll have a great-grandma. :) I had him get a job the Monday they moved in -- Law Enforcement as a security guard. It was the highest-paying of the three offered, so I thought he'd like that. I rented a stereo and had him work out while Seamus and Maggie learned to cook, clean, be creative, and be logical. I also did a single kaching so the family could afford a shower. Good thing too, Will smelled after he got his body point. Funny though -- he started out sponge-bathing with the sink when he wanted to clean up.
-M: *eep*-
Don't worry, I spotted him and had him shower. There was no welcome wagon, though -- I guess you need neighbors for that to happen. So I had them socialize with each other and gain skill points. Seamus got enough rewards points for a money tree -- a good thing where Will is concerned. They had an early night. On Tuesday, Seamus and William spent most of the day bonding. Will satisfied a small power want of earning 100 simoleons via money tree -- always nice. I also had Seamus get a job, as a Lab Glass Scrubber. While at work, I got a chance card -- it seems that Seamus's mad scientist boss, Dr. Finklestein, left a head-in-a-jar on a Bunsen Burner.
-D: *eyes wide* Wha?-
That's what I thought. Seamus could either turn off the flame or leave it alone. I picked leave it alone -- turns out it was an important experiment that netted the lab a bunch of cash, and Seamus got a 170-simoleon bonus. Yay
-J: Not bad for his first day.-
Not bad at all. Will went to his job that night, and came back with a promotion to cadet. A harvest off the money tree, and he was in platinum mood. I left him working out to a rented TV.
I also made the younger Baines family today -- I first made them as kids and toddlers, then aged them up. Milton's a Fortune Sim, Sally a Family, Toby a Knowledge, and Joey a Popularity. I'll have to watch the movie again to get Sam and Stella. Good thing George's Mom and Dad are up in the air about looks. :)
-VD: You've been busy making families.-
Yeah -- I still need to make Goldie Wilson, the older Tannens, and -- hmm. Actually, I think that -- no, wait, the collections people!
-VD2: *laugh* Can't keep them straight anymore?-
*blush* Guess not. I also started work on Lone Pine Mall. I made the outside parking lot, a small mall, and the Fox Photo Kiosk in the lot. The mall will have the JC Penny clothing store, a video game store, a magazine shop, two bathrooms, and a small grocery. I dunno what to do with Fox Photo -- I'm tempted to stick a barbeque inside so I can feed the sims that come. Dang, I miss the vendor carts.
