Better Time Management Tonight

crossover_chickThough it helps that I had a little less in the way of comics to catch up on, at least. And got started on my chapter editing a little earlier than I did last night. Which is good, as it took me about TWO SOLID HOURS to get through final tweaking on Chapter 7. But I did, and it's up! Available on FF.net and AO3! Hopefully it was worth the wait -- it is a bit of a "the characters recount to each other some of the stuff they did in other stories" chapter, but I tried to make the various bits of recap at least fun to read. And Alice in the Land of the Dead is something everybody was waiting for. Now I just have to get through another couple of chapters before landing at the other big moment -- Victor in Wonderland. :)
Not the best day at work, I have to admit -- the morning was fairly quiet, but then problems started piling up in the afternoon again. My coworkers and I did our best to solve them, but there's only so much we can do, you know? And the new database is honestly not helping a lot. . . *sigh* One more day this week, then three days off. Mom's got plans to start decorating the house for Halloween over the weekend -- I'm game. :) Help get me in the spooky mood. Also have to get my costume sorted for this year -- although I already know what I want to be. A vampire, natch. :p I can probably repurpose one of my other costumes -- the steampunk lady -- for it -- I just need fake fangs. And maybe a cape? We'll figure it out. (Although Halloween being on a Wednesday does mean we might have to work around Mom's work schedule. . .)
Very limited YouTube time thanks to the huge freaking chapter I had to get through -- but the one video I watched was -- oh man. XD The Sim Supply decided to do a special "between LPs" video where he brought Benedryl Crumplebottom back, and -- uh -- by the end of it, he had TWO dead Sims instead of just one. Mostly because EVERYTHING that could go wrong in that playsession did. It was fucking HILARIOUS. Best part was when he got Benedryl back for a little while, but the Sim glitched out so he continued to float around like a ghost. XD Really just the thing I needed after work and chapter editing.
All right -- queue is done for both ValiceMultiverse and VictorLuvsAlice, and I'm at least partially caught up on messages. Time to empty out the inbox and call it a night. One more day to get through. . .maybe it'll actually be sunny for more than five minutes. Though I will admit the temperature was decent today. Won't take that away from the weatherpeople. *nods* Night all!
