Friday Of Annoyances

crossover_chickI THOUGHT it was going to be a quiet day at work, but then Fiscal started calling us up again about discrepancies on the GL, and -- well, it took until 12:30 to explain to them that they were subtracting a transaction that they shouldn't be from a large batch of credit cards I ran on the 20th of last month (the transaction in question happened the NEXT DAY -- she just could not wrap her head around the fact that it wasn't part of the bigger batch (confusing the issue was a credit card that came in that same day as the big batch. . .at 10:30 at night, so of course it landed on the next day's GL)). And then there was ANOTHER e-mail from them about why the balances for a certain campaign on a different GL weren't tying out (which we'd explained ON said GL -- the new database people for some reason decided to create a separate campaign for certain payments and didn't bother to tell us before hand, so it messed up our numbers a bit -- all the money was there, it was just split up a bit oddly), then my coworker apparently forgot how to do one of her usual tasks ten minutes before we left for the day, and going home I got stuck behind this idiot from Massachusetts who couldn't figure out how to use an exit lane properly. . .
Yeah, it was -- kind of a day. *sigh* And then I came home to find the house empty because my dad had gone out to do some work for a friend and hadn't left a note. On the one hand, annoying to have no idea where he was -- on the other, at least I got some time to cool off on my own. And it's a three day weekend. I am VERY glad.
Some notes on the rest of the night:
-->Got Chapter 8 of "Fixing You" started! Much shorter and is mostly some fun fluff and a final comment about Victor's weird magical aura thing. I don't normally do this if I'm going to switch gears the very next day, but I feel slightly behind thanks to taking two days off to post chapters, so I wanted to get a jump on it.
-->Rewatched The Sim Supply's "Sims 4 Goes Wrong" video from last night because I needed the laugh
-->Watched Helloween's replay of the boss fight he ended his last Vampyr set on, as he had to redo it to keep his "good vampire" rating high (munching a side character in this fight apparently turns you evil -- Helloween hadn't thought it would because it's a combat situation, but. . .live and learn, I guess). Pretty cool to see more of the weird vampire powers on display :)
-->Got my Valice Multiverse queue done, yay~ LOT of asks this night, whew. But they're all up and ready to go for tomorrow.
-->Also got my VictorLuvsAlice queue done a bit, yay~ Helps that I knew exactly what I wanted to do for tomorrow's song. Now I just have to keep up the good work through the rest of the week.
-->Working my way through messages and comments and suchlike -- you know how it is. Gonna try to empty out the inbox before returning to the tumblr stuff.
Okay -- that's that settled, mostly. Tomorrow -- room cleaning and BioShock Infinite -- I'm going to MAKE the time. And I'm going to have popcorn at some point this weekend because I like popcorn. ...Bit of an odd to-do list, isn't it? Well, it's mine, so. . .night all!
