Happy Halloween!

crossover_chickThere's only like ten minutes of Halloween left at this point, but still. XD I had a pretty good holiday -- let me give you the highlights:
-->Weather was maybe not QUITE as warm as predicted -- morning was super-cold, in fact. But the afternoon and evening were good. Certainly better than some Halloweens where I've worn a skirt! (I still remember the year I had to stick a pair of shorts under my Hysteria Alice dress. . .)
-->Work was okay -- spent most of it picking away at a certain roster maintenance file and answering questions over e-mail. A touch stressful, but nothing mind-blowing, so that was good. :)
-->Got dressed up once I got home, and we had an early supper while watching the last episode of Halloween Wars and waiting for kids. I have a picture of me in costume on my tumblr, along with our Halloween decorations and pumpkins: Happy Halloween!
-->Kids started coming around 6:30ish -- we had a few early comers, one HUGE group, a slightly smaller group, and then a few more stragglers until things finally came to an end around 8 or so. Lots of cute kids, though a fair amount of preteens and teenagers who didn't bother with a costume too. Meeh. Still, I always enjoy handing out candy (though my fangs made it hard to talk to anyone), and one little vampire girl was super excited to see another one. XD We only got one bag of candy this year, along with a box of pretzel treat bags (pumpkin and bat shapes), so we didn't have much in the way of leftovers. I had one bag of pretzels, and about seven pieces of candy all told -- certainly feels like a fair share to me. :)
-->Once we closed up shop, I took my shower, got the make-up off, and caught up on my websites. Read a bunch of Halloween stories on Not Always Right, and watched Helloween's first set of Call of Cthulhu! It's looking pretty interesting so far -- the main character, Pierce, is in the usual "grizzled drunken detective" vein, but he has some fun dialogue with people, and I look forward to learning more about him. And about the island he's found himself on as part of his latest case -- Darkwater. Already looking like there's some culty business out there. . .or at least some illegal bootlegging. :p And hilariously, Pierce is apparently voiced by the same guy who voices Jonathan Reid, aka Dr. Bitey, from Vampyr! So it was an appropriate ending to my "Vamptober" after all.
-->And I managed to sneak in updating "The Technicolor Phase" with Bonejangles Brown. Hooray for getting that up on time. Now I just need to get it in my tumblr queue. . . Actually, there's a fair bit I need to queue or answer just at the moment, so I'd better get on that. At least I have some extra nighttime wiggle room to do it in. . . Night all! Hope you all had a good Halloween!
