crossover_chickThough at a later time than they originally said -- the storm moved slower than expected, so I had a smooth ride home, thankfully. It's starting to pile up out there now, though -- at least a few inches of the white stuff. We're hoping we're getting close to the prophesied point where it changes over to sleet, then rain. I don't fancy driving in this to work in the morning. Nor to the dentist on Saturday -- it had better be mostly gone by then!
Was a pretty quiet day today -- had some last-minute proof-checking to do in the afternoon, but most of the day I spent cleaning up the list of people who don't need to be run in the old credit card/direct debit system anymore, and doing some merges. There's a lot of them, sadly -- we always seem to pick up a bunch of duplicates from any bit of roster maintenance. And it takes a while to sort through them all. . .almost done with my current list, though. Hopefully I can make some more progress tomorrow too.
Afternoon was solid -- workout, dinner, then straight to taking care of the famed Chapter 9! Which is now available here at FF.net and here at AO3! Feels good to have that one in the can. :) Tomorrow I start work on Chapter 10! Which, again, is a long one, but because I won't be losing Wednesdays to posting "The Technicolor Phase" for a while, maybe it'll go a little faster. Fingers crossed!
After getting those up, it was time for an extra-long set of Vampyr from Helloween. The shit is going down, it appears -- hunters have kidnapped a friend of Jonathan's, and he's made an enemy of the big boss of all the vampires (or, well, all the white rich male vampires) of England. This is not quite the bad thing the big boss tries to make it out to be, though, as Jonathan is a very strong vampire and the "big boss" has been lying about his lineage for a while now. . . At any rate, it's time to carve a bloody swath through the hunters and rescue our friend! And learn some more about mysterious spooky ultra-old vampires too, it seems. . . My kind of story. :)
And from there it's just been updating my queues (I stumbled across a really good Valice song for my tumblr; but I'm forcing myself to wait a bit because it would make the most sense paired with some later chapters in "Fixing You") and catching up on websites. And occasionally looking out at the snow and hoping it changes over. . . *peeks* It is looking more rainy now. We'll see what it's like in the morning! Night all!
