Off The Rails Saturday

crossover_chickMe: Yay, it's Saturday! I'm sure that once I get past my usual "gonna hang around in my PJs longer than I ought to" breakfast phase, I can catch up on all my remaining YouTube videos and find time for "The Technicolor Phase" and Sims 4!
My Parents: Hey, we got the wallpaper murals we ordered for the doors, plus new doorknobs, so we're going to do that right after you have your breakfast shake!
My Computer: Hey, you're having another one of those Internet outages that's going to last until about noon!
My Brain: Forget it was MST3K's 30th anniversary and so you definitely want to spend the evening watching one of their episodes? Also this new hypno idea you got for Victor and Alice is NOT going to leave you alone until you write it. ...On the plus side, you're definitely making your target "one page of writing per day" today!
Sooo, yeah, didn't really get everything I wanted to get done, done today. Mostly in terms of YouTube videos thanks to that stupid outage -- I swear, either the modem's going or Cox is having serious problems with its network around here. (Or is deliberately punishing us for not having the full package anymore -- also a possibility.) I did get one in -- The Sim Supply's latest "Get Famous Rags To Riches" set. Lady II's hosted a mostly-successful fan meet-and-greet (Silver ranking -- James only just missed getting gold as the game didn't count a group dance as three Sims dancing at the same time); had a successful apocalyptic shoot (girl SHREDDED on her guitar); donned her first celebrity disguise to work out at the gym uninterrupted (didn't really work out -- though considering the disguise was literally a hat and some sunglasses. . .); and wrecked Thorne Bailey's marriage AND became pregnant with his illegitimate child (as part of James's ongoing plot to destroy the guy's life because he constantly shows up wherever Lady is and steals her thunder). So yeah, that was pretty epic. :p
Other stuff I managed to accomplish:
-->That writing on my personal hypno idea -- it gave me my desired page for the day, anyway. I just REALLY wanted to get it down on "paper" so I could stop obsessing over it in my head.
-->Sims 4! Got the latest MC hotfix, all the patches, and plunged in. Eric had a very busy day -- I'm having him do the "Positivity Challenge" currently in the game, as he's my explicitly "Good" Sim (trait and everything), so I thought it was well-suited for him. He's already completed two tiers of the challenge's special aspiration and earned two motivational posters as a result. :) He also celebrated New Year's AND went to the Romance Festival with his love interest alien Andy. Busy day for him, but it'll definitely make for a good update! Planning on popping in on him again tomorrow and seeing if I can complete that challenge. Just gotta do a lot of good deeds. . .
-->Watched that "Happy Anniversary" episode of MST3K with the folks over dinner -- Samson Vs The Vampire Women! A vampire movie that features a luchador as a main character. Who doesn't bother showing up until about halfway through the movie and then is largely ineffective against the villains (they actually defeat him and are about to unmask him when SUNLIGHT finishes them off). The kind of ridiculousness that makes for a great MST3K episode. XD Also happened to be the last episode of Season 6 and Frank's swan song! So that was interesting to watch.
-->Got up another Scene From Secundus -- a short one, slippery! More fun with Victor on ice. XD And got my usual VictorLuvsAlice queue up too, which is good. Ready through Tuesday, yay.
And now I'm doing the RP thing -- got some stuff going on tumblr, and some comments to take care of on Dreamwidth. Pretty usual Saturday night, overall. Tomorrow I intend to catch up with all the stuff I didn't get to today (barring ANOTHER inconvenient outage, of course). Not THAT much, really, but I would like to finally watch those darn Hitman 2 videos waiting in my Watch Later queue! Plus the Linkara double feature. . . But for now, comments. G'night all!
