Going To Try To Keep It Quick

crossover_chickAs, well, my period came today, and currently my mood is seriously all over the place. ...Actually, no, it's in one place, and that place is "bitchy." Which, given I'm on the rag, isn't THAT surprising, but still. . .
Day was not actually bad by any stretch of the imagination -- I had just enough to keep me occupied without overwhelming me, plus cookies besides. Mom made her usual batch for the office (if a bit smaller than normal), and as usual everyone was raving over them. Phone calls were at a minimum, and I got pretty much everything I wanted to get done, done. Just one thing had to be pushed to tomorrow thanks to a long phone call helping someone out. And it gives me something to do tomorrow, so. . . And while the ride in was a bit iffy (they're doing roadwork on the exit I take to work), the ride home was shockingly smooth. O.o Can't hope for it to be like that every night this week, but -- something close would be nice?
Afternoon's been a little more scattered -- while I got my workout in, writing proved to be kind of tough. I'm never at my most creative on my period, and today I had to do research to fix up someone's gift fic. And then run a virus scan and get NoScript back up and running when one of the sites tried to hijack me to another more dangerous site. (I swear, most of the fandom wikis seem infested with viruses these days. . .) Got the damn thing done, but it'll definitely need another go-round before I post it. Ugh. . .
On the plus side, I got to watch a very amusing episode of "The Adventures of Thorne Bailey" by The Sim Supply -- Octavia learned about the whole Holly thing, and Thorne hastily broke it off with her. And yes, this DOES leave Holly a single mother -- she now has a daughter, Carol Alto. Poor girl, she slumped out of there so dejected. . . Thorne, meanwhile, SOMEHOW managed to patch things up with Octavia (after a few nights spent in separate beds), lose the worst of his gut, get a makeover, and get a promotion. So Octavia's consented to marry him again. Although James is already making plans for her to try and get back at Lady for starting all of this. XD This is such a twisted little LP. . .
We also had another OXMas challenge! Mike got the challenge to sail a ship in Sea of Thieves through a gap between two rocks while drunk and playing the accordion! Which he did! Though the commenters pointed out that Mike sort of did the challenge in reverse order -- he got drunk AFTER setting his course, when everyone figured he ought to have gotten drunk FIRST. On the other hand, a few people also pointed out Mike apparently unfairly lost a point in last year's challenges, and Andy and Jane didn't voice any objections during the video itself, soooo. . . *shrug* If they're not complaining, I'm not complaining. I just wish that challenge hadn't been so short.
And now I've managed to complete both my VictorLuvsAlice and Valice Multiverse queues for the night, so it's time to empty out the inbox and head to bed. Hopefully my mood will have stabilized a bit in the morning. . . At least this means my period will definitely be over with by Christmas and my birthday. Always worse when you've got it on a day you've been anticipating. *sigh* Night!
