Had another late, slow morning, but I felt rather more awake earlier than the day than I did yesterday. Definitely less stuffy -- though I'm starting to pick up a bit of a cough. Nothing too bad, but. . .kind of annoying. And my ears have been kind of blocked up too, so that's not fun. But the cold definitely seems to be working its way out of my system, which is good. Having a three day weekend to sit around and watch Frasier clips seems to be just what the doctor ordered. And, as usual, I did get a few things accomplished:

-->Watched Helloween's latest Splatterhouse (2010) set -- turned out to be a short one, as he's trying to do one stage per set, and the one he went through was basically just a run-up through a creepy hall of mirrors to a doppelganger boss. Or, well, bosses -- started out as one Rick, then proceeded to multiple, then proceeded to a "main" Rick with the Mask abilities backed up by multiple "lesser" Ricks. Helloween kicked all the ass, though, and made it through with little issue. Since the main stage was so short, he threw in a look at the original Splatterhouse 3 since he'd unlocked it. He got through the first level, and partway through the second before dying, but he admitted it's not his favorite of the series, as it changed up the gameplay from what he was used to. And the one boss he encountered was a bit of a dick, constantly running literal circles around Rick to avoid getting hit. I'd be frustrated too, playing that.

-->Played some BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea -- I'm starting to get the hang of having a smaller health bar, Eve bar, and shield bar. At the very least, I managed to avoid dying in this particular round. Killed a bunch of splicers, got the Shock Jockey and Old Man Winter plasmids (Elizabeth revealing her Tear-creating powers along the way), and the two went to the Housewares section of the Fontaine Department store to save Sally -- who, upon arrival, has been revealed to be Little Sisterized. She's currently hiding in the Little Sister vents -- Elizabeth's plan is to LITERALLY smoke her out by closing up all the vents in the area, then increasing the heat in Central Heating so she'll escape through the main exhaust pipe. Both Booker and I were fairly horrified, but calling to Sally through a vent did no good. . . *wince* These games are rough sometimes. (She says, having felt nothing but joy at seeing people's heads explode when she hit them with Shock Jockey and then killed them with a gunshot.)

Oh, speaking of that, discovered something interesting about Burial At Sea -- the gun wheel is back! That is, you can carry more than just two weapons! I am now completely pissed off at the main game for deciding NOT TO DO THIS. Like, you CLEARLY had the capability, but noooo, I had to chose two guns and swap on the fly depending on how much ammo I had. I will give them that maybe I'm the dumb one when it comes to crouch -- I don't remember if I ever hit the B button in the main game -- but that's just -- grr. These games sometimes. . .

-->Did another chunk on Chapter 13 of "Fixing You" -- Victor and Alice have defeated Barkis! Just a matter of puzzling out what he was likely weak to. . .just one last bit to go (Alice now feeling guilty over something she said earlier in the story that Barkis threw back in her face), and we move onto Chapter 14! Which is probably going to be a long one, as it features both a mental version of Galswells and actually traversing Burtonsville. . .which is a bit more of a maze in Victor's mind. . .

And I'm currently doing some queuing over on the Valice Multiverse. Also have to answer the stuff in my inbox, of course. Gonna still take my cold medicine before going to bed tonight, but I'm hopeful that maybe I'll be able to do without tomorrow night. Honestly, just glad I don't have to go to work tomorrow -- supposed to be FUCKING COLD. Like, a high of 10F. *shivers* Give me a nice warm house plz, especially in the wake of being sick.

Okay, have to do a few more "productive" things -- night all!
