Almost Entirely Back To Normal
Jan. 22nd, 2019 11:30 pmHad a fairly busy work day -- most of the morning was spent cleaning up the GL (which had a LOT of batches to organize; fortunately it all balanced), then a lot of the afternoon was spent on phone calls and trying to catch up on various things (and not always succeeding very well). Honestly, pretty typical of my workdays these days. . . At least I'm slowly but surely getting a start on certain things! And tomorrow is another day -- hopefully I can get some more time-critical stuff on there.
As for my cold -- still had to blow my nose a few times, and kept getting inconvenient tickles at the back of my throat. And I still sound a little weird when I talk. But I pretty much feel fine, so. . .I think tomorrow I'll risk it without any cold medicine, and start getting back into my workouts. Hooray for sicknesses that come and go fast. And hopefully it was the only one I'm going to have to suffer this winter. . .or, if it isn't, let the next come when I won't feel like I'm letting the side down by taking sick time!
Writing went fairly well -- worked on "The Technicolor Phase" as I said I would. Got about the first half of edits done on "Alice Brown" (which is actually an Emily-POV piece about the first time she, Victor, and Victoria enter Wonderland). Get the other half done on Saturday, after I start Chapter 14 of "Fixing You." Kinda looking forward to getting into the Galswells bit -- it covers a bit of Victor's fears regarding marriage, and I get to write Galswells being a dick. Win-win. XD
Video of the evening was the penultimate episode of the "Get Famous Rags To Riches" LP from The Sim Supply. Subtitle: "James Has The Worst Luck In Trying to Kill Sims." XD Basically, he tried to lock his butler in the vault to starve to death (after unsuccessfully attempting to do the same to his stan), then tried to kill Holly in the Fireworks Bunker he built for the occasion. While he got the butler locked up, it took three tries thanks to glitchiness and intrusive family members, and he's not even showing the slightest signs of wear and tear yet. And while he managed to kill Holly, that took FOUR TRIES because the first time, the fire MISSED her (but threatened Lady's money trees); the second time, her son put out the fire; the third time, the firework fizzled. And while all this was going on, Lady and her family were basically dying of miserable needs (in particular toddler Banana, who James was CERTAIN was going to be taken away -- somehow avoided that fate, though), and the dog ran away, and came back utterly filth-ridden. It was fricking hilarious. XD Gonna be a little sad to see this series go. . .I mean, I can always move onto "Keeping Up With The Bigwallets," but that LP is streamed, so episodes are typically 1 1/2 to 2 hours long. . . I'd have to block out some time on a Saturday to catch up. Maybe later on. . .
For now, though, I've gotten my Valice Multiverse queue sorted -- time to finish answering what's in the inbox and hit the sheets. Got three more days of this, after all. At least it's supposed to warm up for a little bit this week. . .even if it's also supposed to get rainy. Meh, I'm already so over winter. . . Night all!
