crossover_chick | Not The Best Of Thursdays

Work was another stressful one (I swear, I think my coworker believes ANY extra step added to her routine is "too much" -- look, the process is fiddly, I get it, but choosing to search for someone by a different ID number is not the end of the fucking world) -- we had a thing with MIS talking to us about computer safety, the usual number of phone calls all battling for our attention, me trying to get the GL done and get some actual gifts posted. . . It was only at the end of the day that I SUCCEEDED at that, by the by. Add in a miserable storm with loads of rain and wind, and me having to cut through the city to get home because things were backing up and I had to deal with lunatic drivers, and -- well. It's amazing how long a day can feel. Why is it even short weeks take forever these days?

At any rate, I had a decent evening, at least:

-->LJ Juggler's working again! They updated the code and now I can fast switch between journals once more, yay! :D

-->Had my workout and watched a particularly goofy QI with dinner (Alan was in rare form tonight :p)

-->Got Chapter 13 of "Fixing You" posted -- FanFic.net version and AO3 version. Went pretty smoothly, which I'm glad of. Hopefully everybody likes what happens in this chapter! Moving onto Chapter 14 tomorrow. . .

-->Got my VictorLuvsAlice queue done, as I also knew exactly what I wanted to do for Song Saturday, so that's set through the first half of Sunday, yay~

-->Watched The Sim Supply's video on what the community (or, at least, his fans) want out of The Sims 4 in 2019. People mostly want spiral stairs/ladders/just anything other than plain straight stairs, the "University" expansion pack (perhaps expanded into a all-ages school-based EP), more color swatches on build mode items (or at least a plain white modern door), and a beach/tropical world, preferable with ownable hotels (among other things). I agree with pretty much all of that, though I don't care so much about owning my own hotel. We're way overdue for a beach area, though, and I would like spiral staircases and a university option as much as the next player. Expressed my interest in them adding magic-users and a bunch of other stuff from Makin' Magic back in in the comments -- we'll see if my notifications explode at any point.

Now, as per usual, time to clear out the inbox, then hit the sheets. Very glad tomorrow's Friday. . .not so glad that it's supposed to be colder, but what can you do. *shrug* Night all!
