Slow Start, Decent Finish

crossover_chickAs per usual, took me until noon to get out of my pajamas this morning -- I got caught up rereading some bits from my two Pern books (yes, the desire for a fire lizard remains strong. I should just figure out how to get a plush one one day). And my jammies are just so comfy. . . But despite my lazy, I had a pretty nice Saturday:
-->Got up in time to see my parents off before they went to a junk shop we learned about from the placemats at Twin's Pizza last weekend (turned out to be a bust, sadly) -- and Mom made me pancakes! She had some batter left over and asked me if I wanted some before she dumped it -- I certainly did! So that was a nice change for breakfast (and good thing too, as we don't have any bananas for smoothies).
-->Got my cleaning done -- just a dust and a vacuum, as I had to finish before Mom finished lunch. Considering my room doesn't get that dusty, at least in winter, I figure I can skip the swiffer for a week, so long as I do something.
-->Hopped on the computer after lunch and, after a little web-fiddling, played Sims 4! It was Nikal's turn to go to work actively -- she did some fun stuff like making a satellite dish and contacting aliens; upgrading her SimRay to transform objects (I didn't realize that one had never finished!) and mind-control people into cleaning; and inventing a cloning machine! So that was all cool. I also installed a mod to stop them washing their dishes in the bathroom sink, so yay there. Although I forgot for a second I'd also installed the mod that stops Sims preparing food on bathroom counters and needed to enable the kitchen counters for food prep, so it took a couple of tries to get Nikal to make breakfast. ^^; Perhaps I should write myself a note, given this is likely to happen in other families too. . .
-->Came back and spent an hour and a half powering through the next chapter in "The Technicolor Phase" -- Lizzie Yellow! Which -- is actually largely about Bonejangles learning that Victor is in love with Alice. Though there IS mention made of Lizzie being the "sunshine of his afterlife," so. . . Look, I chose a very limiting chapter naming convention and now I'm stuck with it. If I have to deal, so do you.

A) The Sim Supply do a makeover on Max Power in preparation for Season 2 of "Super Sim Challenge" -- Max now looks even MORE like a stuck-up asshole than he did before. XD New hairstyle, new clothes -- though James did his best to keep the pink top theme -- now all he needs are a few new traits and we should be golden. XD
B) Helloween do another stage in Splatterhouse (2010) -- in which Rick accidentally fulfills a time loop by trying to save what he thinks is Jennifer from burning alive, only to be assaulted by West's deranged zombie bride Leonora and have to kill her. Which West witnesses and starts his true turn to the darkness. . . Very short set as it was a rather short stage, but always good to see Helloween bring the Lovecraftian-monster-killing pain. Plus it looks like the game is wrapping up soon, so that's probably why the shorter stages. I'm looking forward to the final bits -- and Hells's retrospective on it, as he's going to get into why it's such a technical mess despite having a lot of love poured into its story.
C) RabbidLuigi's list of the worst games of 2018 -- I'd heard of three of them. Agony was that game Helloween played that I was worried was going to give me nightmares because the imagery was that gross (and apparently there's not much to recommend it under the hood either); Fallout 76 was the arena for the "naked punching challenge" in the OXBox OXmas challenges last year (Andy did his best wandering the wasteland in his pants, but eventually went down; that was funny, but multiplayer games like that just aren't my thing); and Metal Gear Solid: Survive I knew from RabbidLuigi himself, and his rants on how horrible it was (and was amazed to discover it did come out in 2018 -- I'd convinced myself it was 2017 at the latest. Really speaks to how LONG last year felt, huh?).
-->Got up the next "Scenes From Secundus" -- 25 Days of Multiverse 2013, Day Six (I did not have a pithy prompt for this day, sorry) Another Christmas prompt I ended up rewriting some, focusing on Marty and Jennifer together on the Christmas between "Secundus" and "Secundus 2." Marty's happy to be back with his girlfriend, but Jennifer can tell he misses his buddies in Secundus. It's fluffy and sad at the same time -- my favorite.
-->Got my VictorLuvsAlice queue settled for the next couple of days, yay~ Still need to get my pictures ready for the Sims update on Wednesday, but I can always do that tomorrow.
And currently doing a bit of the RP thing. . .which I need to get onto on here as well, so. . . Tomorrow be the Super Bowl! Hopefully the Pats will win and we won't have too much of my dad yelling at the TV. *fingers crossed* Night all!
