Not That Bad A Monday
Feb. 11th, 2019 11:20 pmThe phone calls about tax letters have slowed down, which is good, and I was again able to get on some gifts -- not a lot, as I still had other projects to worry about, but every little bit helps at this point. And I mostly completed one of the other projects I was worrying about, sooo -- progress, yay.
I also FINALLY got those pictures I took the other day off my iPad! Downloaded iCloud for Windows to see about syncing the two up, plugged in the iPad -- aaaand my computer FINALLY RECOGNIZED IT and asked if I wanted to import any pictures. Uh, heck yeah. So my second Valicetine is completed -- and I have my idea for my third, Sims-based one, so I'm in good shape there too. :)
Also in good shape with my writing -- got another chunk done on Chapter 15 of "Fixing You." Tweaked a few things in the beginning, then got into Nell Van Dort showing up to yell at Victor about how he's always either forcing his problems on other people or trying to solve them violently. Tying in both his feelings about how he's overburdening Alice with his issues AND worrying about his temper! And for those of you who want to see the rest of Burtonsville, don't worry -- they'll be showing up soon enough. Sort of. . . You'll see. :p
YouTubery went fairly smoothly too -- we had the next episode of "Super Sim" from The Sim Supply, and the last episode of Splatterhouse (2010) from Helloween! The former was mainly about Max powering through the final levels of the "World Famous Celebrity" aspiration (mostly by hanging out at a gym hoping for paparazzi and fans wanting selfies to show up), getting gold on his latest acting gig (pirate TV, yaarrr), and meeting the potential next love of his life -- Myra, who is a Kleptomaniac, Hot-Headed, and Mean. James has come up with the backstory that she's just using Max for his fame. :P As for the latter, it was basically just finishing off the final level -- Helloween absolutely refusing to use his super mode, which I'm sure made the game just that tiny bit harder on him. Didn't help that the final boss was less of a boss and more "protect Jennifer from these random minions falling OFF the boss, and also the camera's gonna be a dick about things." Kind of a disappointing last level -- especially since the team gambled on a sequel by including a cliffhanger ending. Didn't work out for them, sadly. Hells has said he plans to do a final thoughts video on the troubles with the development process and all that, so that's something to look forward to in the future.
And I got the first part of my Sims 4 update for Wednesday completed! Like I said, little bits of progress. Now it's time to empty the inbox and hit the sheets, as per usual. And wait to see what the weather holds tomorrow. . .apparently we're due an afternoon winter storm, yaaaay. We'll see what work does in response. . .night all!
