Kickin' Around Saturday

crossover_chickSlept in until 10, then ended up doing a lighter clean than usual -- dusted picture frames and my computer desk, then vacuumed. Feel like that's a good compromise option for weeks where I'm not in the mood to do the full clean. And given how lazy I was feeling this morning. . .these long weeks at work have been taking it out of me, let me tell you. Felt good to just sit around, reading TV Tropes and watching Kubz Scouts and Fact Hunter videos on YouTube. :p
I did get some other stuff done, though:
-->Played some more BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea Chapter 2 -- turns out going to the sex shop was necessary, as that's where the Peeping Tom plasmid was! A very necessary addition to our arsenal, as it lets me look through walls. Also, theoretically, become invisible, but I'm not sure how that effect works yet. Because I'm a bit of a bad, as Helloween might say. Proven by the fact I got killed shortly after picking it up when some Splicers spawned in and spotted me. Whoops. ^^; Fortunately, once I recovered from said death, I managed to get the drop on them much more effectively with my tranquilizer crossbow. Damn thing's a lifesaver once you know how to use it right.
At any rate, Elizabeth's made her way around to a new area, tracking down the restaurant Suchong had closed to study tears, looking up coded messages from Atlas's men, and avoiding the Big Daddy making his rounds through the place. Apparently there's a way to set him on the splicers wandering around the level, but damned if I know the trick. Currently I'm investigating all the other shops around the Deluxe Bathysphere Plaza (not the OFFICIAL name, but -- that's what it is, basically, given the thing in the center is a deluxe bathysphere model) for goodies -- got Liz parked on some stairs leading up to an area full of Splicers. Died the last time I tried sneaking through -- hopefully I can do better the next time around! (Helps that I've got a health kit this time. Nice of the game to LET ME CARRY SOME AROUND AS NEEDED AGAIN. Burial At Sea, stop reminding me of all the things that annoyed me about Infinite.)
-->Got "Victoria Green" of "The Technicolor Phase" all edited -- Alice FINALLY admits her feelings to Victoria in this one, and there is much smooching. :) All's well that ends well -- well, mostly. There's ONE more chapter after this one -- but it's about a very special event in the new foursome's lives. :) Hopefully everyone will find this as cute as I did while writing it!
-->Watched an OXBox video about clever ways to disguise loading screens (from long elevator conversations, to special door animations, to walking through the World Tree, to soccer-playing minigames), and Helloween's latest Resident Evil 2 REmake set (poor Leon got chomped on a LOT thanks to surprise Lickers and inconvenient zombies -- fortunately he managed to avoid being savaged by Mr. X in the bargain. He's currently making his way through the parking garage and the attached jail -- fewer lickers in this version of reality, but more infected dogs. And also Ada Wong! Who has an FBI agent badge, but who knows if it's legit. Also, jail is full of zombies in cells, and a guy named Ben got killed by Mr. X because he was gonna rat out Chief Irons. He has the parking pass Leon needs, so we have to get into the cell he was stuck in. Which is probably going to have to entail opening ALL the cells, because this is Resident Evil and it wants you to have to avoid zombies.)
-->Posted the other Cupid Challenge fic! And then promptly edited it as the original was a mere five sentences and I was like "I HAVE to make this better." It's not exactly NSFW, but it's pretty obvious it's going to be in the near future. XD Hopefully it's enjoyable!
And that brings us roughly to now, where I'm carrying on some tumblr conversations, working on getting my VictorLuvsAlice queue set up, and am about to empty out the inbox. As you do on a Saturday night/Sunday morning. But first, I'm gonna get some water -- kinda thirsty here. Hopefully tomorrow will be another decent day! Night all!
