Late Starting Day
Feb. 18th, 2019 11:10 pmThanks to the delay at work, I got up a bit later than normal -- not by much, about a half-hour, but it was still nice. And then I was able to sneak in the latest episode of "Super Sim Challenge" with my breakfast, which was even nicer. :) (Max's world is unfortunately getting glitchier -- there was a pretty hilarious stair glitch where he floated up a flight while doing the 'looking at the sky' animation. He also started the Media Production skill and did some flower arranging -- and then lost all his progress when the game froze as James tried to send him to the Romance Festival with his new potential lady love.) Spent the rest of my late morning getting my own Sims 4 pictures ready for my next update, then headed off to work!
Which was extremely quiet, to my relief. Rides both to and from the office were super-fast and quiet -- even if the parking lot was covered in snow and thus I had to guess at where the parking spaces were. *grumbles* But yeah, spent my abbreviated morning doing GL stuff, then got on a bunch of checks in the afternoon, so I'm happy. Yay catching up with a few things for a change. Hopefully I can keep the momentum going for the rest of the week.
Came home in good time, did my workout, had supper, then did another chunk on Chapter 15 -- split the difference with Galswells by having his face start to form, only to have Victor and Alice respond "Oh no, we DEALT with you" and promptly hit it with quills and tea until it melted away again. He does get a line, so hopefully that will be enough. They've taken care of the rest of the smaller faces too, yay~ Of course, now they have to deal with the Colossal Nell doing the same thing Colossal Ruins do when you move to stage 2 of their fight -- breathing fire. And Victor's due a few more painful moments before all this is done. . .I feel bad, but it's necessary, given how he finally defeats the Nell.
I also caught up with the latest videos in my feed:
-->Another Sim Supply vid, this time of him building a random little starter home in real time and rambling along while also questioning basically every design decision he was making. XD It was a fun little video -- he says he used to do this a lot in the early days of the channel and wanted to get back to it. I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing more -- most of his house-building videos are pretty cool, honestly.
-->The next Resident Evil 2 REmake video from Helloween, featuring more adventures of Leon! Our favorite rookie cop has successfully solved some of the fun little puzzles in the police station and gotten the parking pass to get the heck out of there! He has also been mauled many, many times thanks to Helloween usually not being QUITE out of lunging range of zombies, and being reluctant to use flash and regular grenades on them. Also he got cornered by Mr. X, and DAMN that guy hits like a truck. O.o I think the only reason Leon survived is because he had the "extra resilient" buff from a full herb heal going. Anyway, Mr. X nearly slaughtered him after he got the pass, only for Ada to save him via exploding truck. They joined forces, had an absolutely heartbreaking moment in a gun shop (running into the owner -- and his partially zombified daughter), then descended into the sewers! Where Leon promptly almost got eaten by a mutated alligator, then got shot by Annette Birkin. Which means we're up to another "playing as someone else" section -- as Ada! Given she's usually on the bad guys' side, but seems to have a weird soft spot for Leon, this should be interesting. . .
And then after that was the usual catching up on websites and filling out my VictorLuvsAlice queue -- got half of my Newcrest Adventures updates sorted, yay. (It's ended up a four-parter -- I just had a lot going on that SimCity Founding!) So yeah, not a bad way to start the week. Certainly better than I expected after having an overnight snowstorm. . . Now it's time to clear out the inbox and head to bed. Still got three full days of work to get through before my vacation day on Friday. Fingers crossed they're all as decent as today! Night all!
