Well Wasn't This a Barrel Of Laughs

crossover_chickMy day in a nutshell:
-->Freshly on my period, so my emotions are running high and I'm tired and alternately hot and cold
-->Work is super busy because of the long weekend -- I mean, I was bracing myself for a lot of calls and some extra stuff on the GL, but -- well, the phones glitched out so not all the calls were showing up correctly; the GL took ALL FREAKING DAY because of various interruptions and stuff I had to sort out; the copier jammed (fortunately we were able to get the stuck bits of paper out); and our processing company sent proofs to review a half-hour before quitting time. *sigh*
-->Day starts off gloomy and drizzly; gets nice for my ride home; and then almost the minute I arrive home, it all clouds up again. I waste a half-hour wondering if I dare take a walk outside -- and then when I decide to go ahead and try it, turns out the temperature's dropped and part of the street is flooded. *deep sigh* So came back in and did a short video instead.
-->Dad got annoyed with me for not immediately opening the garage door (the small one to the house) so he could check if Mom's car was still leaking oil when I got in. I thought he'd come to make sure that noise was just me and was trying to get the garage remote for the car back on the visor when I realized he was waiting out there for some reason. If he'd told me this morning he'd planned to do that. . .
-->Both parents still sick; I'm still unsure if I have anything because I have a slight soreness in the back of my throat and occasional stuffiness -- but the former could be from my period making me thirsty, and the latter just happens sometimes. Ugh.
-->Fiddling around with Dad's Father's Day present at Mom's request, which thanks to my period making everything annoying was a pain in the ass.
So yeah -- it's been a day. >( Fortunately I was able to get some writing done on "Secundus 2" -- maybe not my best work, but it's something. Features a cute corgi, so I can't complain. And I caught up on my YouTube subscriptions:
-->Another episode of "Super Sim" from The Sim Supply -- Max is now a Covert Operative in the Military, and he and Myra had another set of twins. James forgot to take off the lot trait that helps encourage that, apparently. XD The new children are Baby and Names as per his Twitter. XD Fortunately, he was actually at the house this time to make sure everyone's needs were met and that there was JUUUST enough room for everyone. Better build that dockside mansion quicker, James!
-->Another set of Dead Space 2 from Helloween -- after more adventures in the Unitology church, including the creepy looping frozen section and the Part That Looks Like Castlevania Complete With Gribbler, Isaac reached his contact Daina -- who was promptly revealed as a Unitologist. And then was promptly shot to pieces by Earth Gov. Who FAILED at shooting Isaac to pieces thanks to quicktime events. And then Isaac had to flee another neccy, got blasted into space, and then was conveniently flung back into the apartment complexes by an explosion. Isaac has all the luck, doesn't he? Hopefully now we can meet the good version of Ellie Helloween was talking up back during the Dead Space 3 LP.
And I got my tumblr queues sorted, at least -- now I just have to. . .well, fully clearing out the inbox is probably not going to happen, but I can at least take care of some things I managed to draft on my lunch break. (And I GOT a lunch break -- can't say that against the day.) Hoping tomorrow is a little less -- ugh. Night all!
