Not Too Bad A Wednesday

crossover_chickTraffic was heavy going into work, but nothing TOO horrible -- and coming home wasn't any worse than normal, really. And I got a fair whack done at work itself, including getting on a bunch of gifts I've had sitting around, clearing out a couple more returns, and solving a couple of problems. So that's nice. :) Good to leave things on a high note before a day off. Though the GL for Friday is looking a bit -- beastly. . .well, we'll get through it. We always do.
Evening's been fairly solid as well:
-->Checked out the latest clan reveal trailer for Bloodlines 2 -- and it's the Malkavians! :D I was hoping they'd make the Release 5. . . So yay, that's more encouragement for me to play the game, if I can do an Alice run and make her a Malk later on. Though she apparently won't have Obfuscate this time around, boo. :( Though I guess she might need it less if I get her that Thinblood power that lets you turn into freaking mist. . .and there's still Dementation to play with. :p
-->Wrote another chunk on "Secundus 2" -- starting Chapter 4 now, with the group arriving back at the McFly farm. Lots of banter about how the farm is basically equivalent to Hill Valley, given how unbuilt the town is right now; outhouses and the Secundus gang's familiarity with them; and Alice's pregnancy and the other two couples' thoughts on starting a family. Pretty sweet stuff overall for the moment. :) I like just writing characters shooting the shit, honestly. (Probably more than I should, given how much of said shit-shooting I tend to have to cut out of final drafts. Still fun, though.)
-->Watched another episode of The Sim Supply's Sims 2 LP -- back to Brentnall in college, where he was definitely following in his mother's footsteps. Dude romanced his stalker Jasmyn, then -- after a brief time out to do some actual school-related stuff -- headed to the Plaza and romanced the Head Good Witch, Allyn! Even took her out on a dream date, which ended with them at James's favorite park and favorite photo booth *waggles eyebrows* --
Where they proceeded to get stuck, because something in the background corrupted and James couldn't get them out. And when he finally managed to force the issue, Brentnall's needs were so crap that, upon being sent back to the dorm, he FREAKING DIED. James couldn't remember how to cheat up his needs in time, and once the Reaper showed up. . .so, uh, Brentnall is now an urn. Ooops. ^^; We're all hoping sister Doona can step up to the plate and figure out how to bring her brother back. #Brentnalldeservedbetter2k19
-->Watched the latest "Let's Replay Nier" set from Helloween -- otherwise known as Depression Simulator. I mean, we started off the episode with Nier tracking down the Junkyard boys's missing mom -- to find she'd been killed while trying to run away with her lover. Gideon didn't take the news of her death well; Joshua was more philosophical about it. Then we tried to deliver the sad news about his dog's passing to the old man who gave us the quest to look for him, only to discover he'd passed in the meantime; turns out the dog was trying to get the plant necessary to make the man's heart medicine when he was killed, and without the plant. . . Nier at least expressed that he's sure the two found each other in the afterlife. And then it was time for Fighting Giant Ballsack Monsters With Kaine! AKA, a super shade has invaded the Aerie, and we need Kaine's help to defeat the damn thing. The pair managed to take it down after quite a long fight, and Nier managed to talk Kaine out of just lying around and dying now that she'd gotten her revenge against the thing that killed her grandmother. (Weiss helped too, in his own way -- by basically insulting Kaine into action. XD Ah, I love the dynamics of the humans with the floating talking book. . .) So now we have a companion to help us in our quest to save Yonah! Life is -- well, it's hard to call it "good" in the world of Nier. But it could be worse!
-->Got my tumblr queue sorted for tomorrow -- last snippet of the Holistic Assassin!Alice AU going up, yay~ And I know exactly what I'm posting for Friday and Saturday too, so that's nice. :) Just gotta get it all together. . .but hey, I'll have some time for that tomorrow. After my dentist appointment, anyway.
So yeah -- my only real complaint about the day has been the weather. Was gray, gloomy, and in the 50s all day. Which was particularly annoying as they said it was supposed to improve this afternoon. *grumbles* Had to do an indoor workout -- at least I got it in. And things are supposed to go uphill again for the weekend, so that'll be good. We have things planned for Saturday and Sunday, and I would like to actually do them.
Right now, though, I have some stuff to answer in the inbox, so best get on that. Night all!
