Brighter Weather, Darker Workday

crossover_chickIt's definitely gone back to summer outside -- enough so that we're putting in the air conditioners tomorrow (Friday in particular is supposed to hit the 90s!). But inside the office, it was one of those days with a lot of little stresses that added up. I managed to get my big project done (a big batch of important monies), but not without LOTS of interruptions. It wasn't particularly fun. *sigh* Two more days. . .
Fortunately, evening went better:
-->Got in my usual walk, despite the heat -- having a larger water bottle, though not as convenient to carry, is definitely nicer when it's in the 80s
-->Had nice sausage-and-pepper sandwiches with chips and watermelon for supper
-->Got a good chunk written on "Secundus 2" -- Victoria and Emily talking about how Victor coming to Secundus really helped their own love lives, followed by Clara and Doc having a moment as Doc tells her all about his flying train before they go off into a tangent about how much they love Jules Verne. It's all very cute :D I like writing them being lovey-dovey, it's a lot of fun. Even more fun when I can have the other characters tease them about it. XD
-->Watched the next episode of "Rags To Riches: Island Edition" from The Sim Supply -- Banana is not exactly living her best life yet. Mostly because James, as it turns out, knows less about how to play Island Living than his audience, despite being an EA Game Changer invited to EA Play specifically to try it out. XD He managed a few things, though! Namely, getting an Odd Job (a special "career" where you can choose one-shot scenarios to go and do for a small amount of cash), exploring the nearby text adventure cave for fish and free money, buying a beach towel for the permanently-exhausted Banana to nap on, planting some kava roots for food, finally buying one of the selling tables (the Selvadorada one) and holding yard sales to sell Banana's collectibles, dealing with TWO eruptions from the local volcano, and FINALLY managing to earn enough to buy Banana a proper tent. Wooof! I think the only person who might have had it tougher at the beginning of a Rags To Riches is her grandfather Sebastian, and THAT only because he was the Seasons LP and lived in a place where a cold and snowy winter was a thing. And even then, monsoons are a thing in Sulani. . .this is gonna be an interesting LP. :p
-->Also watched OXtra talk about all the interesting features of Luigi's Mansion 3 that become creepy if you deliberately overthink them. Or even if you don't -- I think Gooigi is plenty creepy enough on his own! Who thought making a Luigi double out of Poltergust goo was a great idea?? Granted, he's needed for puzzles, as he can't be hurt by spikes or stopped by simple bars, but honestly, that just makes him sound more like the T-1000. Being run by Luigi's consciousness. ...Okay, just became a little less scary. XD
-->Aaand -- I got my Victor Luvs Alice tumblr queue sorted STRAIGHT THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF SUNDAY. I knew exactly what I wanted to post the next three days, so I just got it all up! Hooray for being productive on that front for once. . .I should be in relatively good shape for next week too. Though having some extra time off will definitely help there. Need all I can get if work continues the way it is currently. . .
But that's something to worry about tomorrow. For now, I have to hit the sheets. Got my fans going to keep it cool enough for at least semi-decent sleep. Two more days, and I don't have to worry about one of my queues. Now there's a nice thought. G'night all!
