Semi-Quiet Thursday

As in "work wasn't too bad but had a few stressful moments, mainly relating to completing a few tasks I wasn't sure I was going to get done in time." But I did, and now I just have to ride out the last few hours of tomorrow. :D Rainy, rainy tomorrow. . .ah well, what can you do. A half day is a half day!
Speaking of weather, freaking MUGGY today! The temperature actually wasn't that bad (at least while the sun stayed behind the clouds), and it was semi-bearable every time the wind picked up, but the moment I went out for my lunchtime walk, I could FEEL the wet. w00f. And tomorrow's supposed to be stormy, but still hot, and then we have a pretty solid streak of hot weather straight through next Wednesday, where they're saying it'll be in the 90s. Going out on Saturday may depend on how bearable being outside is. We'll see.
Evening was reasonably productive:
-->Made my muffins, as I am wont to do when they run out. :p Actually kind of glad today was the day, though, given it's likely to be the coolest of the lot for a while.
-->Got up another chapter of "A Wedding, A Wedding, We're Going To Have A Wedding" -- Something Blue. Which, yes, the oldest version I have of the original file is from 2013. Playing the long game with this story! But I think it turned out well, in the end. :)
-->Watched a bunch of videos from Carl's Sims 4 Guides -- as you might imagine, they were various informational videos on Sim topics. Such as how Sim metabolisms work (they don't have any -- if you want to eat a lot of cake without doing an equal amount of jogging, your sim is going to get chonk); how to get access to a super-rare drink recipe (it involves getting a specific chance card at level 9 of the Mixology branch of the Culinary career, and hoping that the outcome is in your favor; manage it, though, and you get access to a cool skill-building drink with the absolutely ridiculous name of Snaggle Fluster -- though it also makes you more prone to wetting yourself); how fishing has been updated with the new patch/Island Living (new interactions, improved methods of getting rare fish, the ability to at least stand next to a friend -- it's pretty much all good); and an earlier gardening video of his where he outlined how to make a good garden (including the best stuff to fertilize with -- apparently it counts what you can sell it for, not what it is, technically).
-->Got my Victor Luvs Alice and Valice Multiverse queues sorted, yay~ Plus answered an ask on my VLA tumblr -- apparently people are dreaming about the Forgotten Vows Verse now. O.o I'm -- glad to be having such an impact on the populace? :P
So yeah, not a bad night, all things considered. Still gotta clear out the inbox, but I'm working on that. And then bed, with the weekend looming. A half day may not be as nice as a full day off, but I'll take what they give me. Hopefully the morning will go quick. . .night all!
