crossover_chick: Victor on the ground with one hand up with the text "Nooo! Anything but the fangirls!" (CB: save Victor from the fangirls!)

Dad's having online problems, and Mom just seemed in kind of a mood this morning, so not quite as pleasant a day as yesterday was. Meh. We did do the morning drive to and from my work, though -- I adjusted the seat up and down, adjusted the mirrors, clicked the windshield wipers on and off (mostly because it was spitting rain this morning! Didn't do a damn thing about the humidity, though), and learned that it's really easy to start going too fast in this damn car because it doesn't FEEL like it's really speeding up. Still getting used to the pedals and everything, but I think I can manage. I usually only drive to and from work, so it's not like I'm taking it on any great road trips. (Yet -- we DO have a trip down to Virginia to visit Busch Gardens planned. . .)

After a stop at the grocery store, we came home, had lunch, and I spent my afternoon:

-->Watching Helloween's latest episode of Secret of Mana 2 -- he's ground his way to victory in the Dragon Hole, with Angela now able to cast a spell that inflicts 999 damage on a single target. Which can include bosses -- very important, as the dungeon contains arenas to fight bosses you've seen before. The gameplay is getting a little samey, and Helloween has a few more complaints about how it all works (namely, the controls are a bit stiff, and he still hates how enemies can get off multiple casts before he can even manage one), but since I'm sure we're coming to the end of the end of the game, it's forgivable.

-->Watching OXBox smack people with a fish in Hitman 2! Mike and Jane (Andy's on holiday) took on the Aquatic Retribution Escalation, where your goal is to snag a fish from the aquarium area in Florida, pacify certain people with it, then dump them into some of the open tanks. Had the best opening of any OXBox Hitman video -- Mike dodging a frisk as he entered the racetrack portion of the level led to him getting into combat eight seconds into the video. That has to be a new personal record. XD Best part is, he managed to ESCAPE the combat, pacify those pursuing him, and even steal a security guard uniform -- but then failed the initial mission by throwing a starfish at someone instead of the actual fish they were supposed to get. Not because a starfish isn't technically a "fish," but because it functions as a throwing star and is thus lethal (they found this out later, as they took one with them after the last level of escalation as a souvenir). XD They did eventually complete all levels of the mission successfully -- and at four stars for each one! High fives, guys! Turns out you CAN play Hitman well when Andy's not there to show you up! :p

-->Watching more riddle videos from Jay and Kassie -- apparently 7 Seconds has noticed they're doing these and has actually called out Kassie via her YouTube name, Gloom, in the titles of one of their latest videos. XD It was the usual mix of surprising competence, horrible guesses, and bouts of laughter. XD These videos are always so much fun, I love them. :p

-->Playing Sims 4 -- back with Eric Embers (and his puppy Laserwolf), and I FINALLY visited Sulani! Mostly because I had Eric take a day off work for Love Day and bring Andy there on a date. They got Gold pretty quickly, hanging out under a canopy by The Sand Bar (the only place I was allowed to pick! I didn't realize there were apparently lot restrictions for going on dates?) and chatting/kissing/what have you. Though I did experience a few weird moments where Eric just sort of -- froze up while I was trying to get him to do stuff. Just standing there, staring off into space. . .a MC Command Center reset snapped him out of the first, and he eventually came out of the second himself and it stopped happening afterwards, but damn, that was kind of frustrating. *grumbles* But I did get him and Andy to make a sand sculpture together, and have a drink, and go swimming in the ocean. So I can't say I haven't done anything with this pack now! Go me.

-->Writing another chunk on "Secundus 2" -- the gang admiring how festive Hill Valley looks as they prepare to enter the festival proper. Just some set-up before they start experiencing all the stuff Doc and Marty did in BTTF Part III. Got to write Victor and Alice being cute, so that's always a plus. Gotta get in the schmoopy stuff where I can before the Tannens come in to ruin it all. . .

-->Watching another Sim Supply/Deligracy collab from a recent livestream they did -- before, we had James doing the build and Deli furnishing it (a cool castle on a tower thing); this week, Deli did the build (a pretty weird house full of turrets and towers and suchlike), and James did the furnishing! He calls it a "hoarder house," but it's really just kind of old fashioned and mismatched, with some stuff crammed in odd places. And also a giant carrot stuck in one room because he didn't know what to put in there. XD It's a neat-looking build, though! Might be another one to track down for my library.

-->Watching a video from Plumbella on some of her favorite "realism" mods -- she seems to like smaller mods, like one where you can prompt your Sim to come out (as gay, bi, or transgender), or mods that force Sims to eat together at the table, or not move around so much while talking. The latter seems like a decent mod to look into -- I've had that problem of Sims just randomly going to sit down or changing position for seemingly no reason mid-conversation. It's annoying. *grumbles*

-->And, just now, finishing up my Valice Multiverse queue. Gotta clear out one last comment in my inbox now, and I'm ready to head to bed! Another full work week starts tomorrow. . .hopefully it won't be a total clusterfuck. *sigh* And hopefully it'll cool down a bit! I want to go back to opening my windows again, darn it. Meh. Night all!

Do you have to go through Jersey to get to Virginia?

According to Google, it's 3 and a half hours to get from Rhode Island (Google Maps starts off the route by someplace called Wickford Junction) to... well my house, lol. If you're taking 95/ the Turnpike all the way you come kinda close to me. Ish.

Wishful thinking on my part is all.
