Vampires, Sims, and Secundus Sunday

crossover_chickAKA I got the things on yesterday's short to-do list done, yay:
Vampires: Finished off the second half of the "Thursday By Night" one-shot! Sam, Liam, Laura, and Travis FINALLY made it to one of the local vampire hangouts, encountered a bunch more coworkers/celebs who were secretly vampires, and -- well. The fact that most of them had killed people, either in frenzy or through deliberate blood-sucking (looking at you, Liam), came back to bite them in the ass. Turns out most of the vampire community could smell the death and considered them threats to the Masquerade. Only Laura and Travis survived to the end, and Laura only because she stopped Travis from killing someone earlier in the episode, allowing him to plead on her behalf (and then she got a lucky roll on persuading everyone to let her live, while Travis burned some willpower to improve his own roll). So they've now got "adopted" sires and will be allowed to become full members of the vampire community. Yay! Good if weird little RP from them. And, happily, it's not QUITE the last I can watch on the subject -- they have another show, Talks Machina, where they talk about their campaigns, and "Thursday By Night" has an episode! Hour and a half too, which is a little more in-keeping with my usual desires concerning longform videos. XD So that's something to binge on a future Saturday. :)
Sims: Well, first of all, I got the beginning of the next Eric Embers Newcrest Adventures update going on my tumblr! Yay for being a little ahead of the game! It's gonna be a four-parter, so I'm going to have to finish it tomorrow, but I've got the first post done, and started on the second.
I also played Sims 4 -- Eric had a nice SimCity Founding! I bought him a grill so he could participate in the BBQ tradition; sent him to the Avarice Pool and Lounge to get in Water Fun and Party Spirit (and try to make some new friends so he can take a shot at completing the Friend of the World aspiration), and then brought him back home again and invited over his boyfriend Andy and bought some fireworks for the Fireworks tradition!
And then had him propose to Andy and invite him to move in. :D Andy said yes to both, so they're now officially an engaged couple living together! I look forward to giving Andy's wardrobe a makeover so he's not always in his alien outfit (he has a human disguise, but I've never seen him wear it, sooo. . .) Also discovered Andy is a cat-lover, so the couple will be getting another pet at some point in the future. :) Maybe I can try adopting a stray?
And on the video front, caught up with two from James Turner:
-->Another episode of the Sims 2 LP -- James has discovered one of the "good" spells actually improves needs decently, so he's letting Brentnall use that one and having him do extra evil studying to make up for it; while poor Doona ended up so wiped from keeping up with her schoolwork she kept falling asleep in her mac and cheese. XD But hey, they're both still on the Dean's List, and James is doing his best to keep both grades and moods high, so life is happily not that bad!
-->And another Gallery Builds video, this one with the theme of "base game only" -- people have been making excellent use of the buy debug cheats, and thus you get some super cool base game builds like a gas station with buy debug gas pumps and such, and a junkyard with TONS of intricately placed junk and a shockingly nice house interior! Also a couple of cool mansions and a really cute windmill cottage. :) I am forever impressed by builders in this game, seriously.
Secundus: Got a good start on the next chapter of "Secundus 2!" Everyone is very tired after coming home late and having to get up early for church and Marty's wedding rehearsal. XD Much grouching has resulted. But it's all okay -- for the moment. First there's going to be a scare with Doc, then the undertaker is going to show up and tell them what happened to Strickland last night (while trying to fit Marty for a coffin). . .basically they're gonna be kinda panicky in the near future. Poor things, I put them through so much. . .and we haven't even gotten to the climax yet. . .
So yeah, that was all good. I also watched another Fun With Shorts (about a junior raindrop who ends up becoming a gang leader in a metaphor for improperly-maintained watersheds causing horrible floods because the ground can't take the rain), and got my Valice Multiverse queue done, hooray. Just gotta finish answering a few last comments, then hit the sheets -- work tomorrow! Three full days, and then -- vacation, w000000~ Fingers crossed this week goes by fast and well! Night all!
