Iffy Friday

crossover_chickTraffic going in was fine up until I hit the city -- EVERYONE was turning down the street I use, so I had to go a slightly different way, and then slam on my brakes when a guy suddenly appeared walking across the street from around a bus -- and miserable going back -- my usual route was all backed up AGAIN, so I had to go through the city AGAIN. *huff* Work itself wasn't too bad, though we're back to having interesting things happening with the online stuff, and possible roster maintenance hell in our futures. I'm just doing the best I can with what I've got (a bunch of returns, currently), and am just glad to have a three-day weekend. Columbus may have been an awful rat-bastard, but I'll take the holiday!
Anyway, afternoon news:
-->Got another page done on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- we're up to the Alice vs Fish fight scene! Mostly because Fish started going on and on about how he was doing her such a favor by Embracing her (though not in those exact words) and Alice decided to stab him because she brought a knife to this apartment viewing. XD She'll put up a good fight -- it pains me to have her lose for plot, but. . . At least she's gonna be a kickass vampire.
-->Watched the latest Fun With Shorts -- appropriately enough, a short "educational" film about Christopher Columbus. Josh wasted no time in making riffs about how awful the European explorers actually were. XD
-->Watched another Call Me Kevin -- an NBA game from 2015! Not because Kevin particularly likes basketball, but because the game has terrible voice acting and Kevin wanted to hear more of it after stumbling across a video. XD Unfortunately his guy, Shit Hand, didn't get on a team with the really awful voice acting -- fortunately, Shit Hand himself was hilarious enough to make up for that. (7'3" and utterly terrible at basketball, with a nose that could kill a man. What more do you need?)
-->And had a bit of a GrayStillPlays Marathon:
A) More Impeached -- Pop Tarts are now ravioli (with the side effect that Gray deported all Italians to Canada), police bears now roam the border looking for syrup smugglers from Canada, hot dogs are officially sandwiches, and baseball is now played with tasers. XD I love this game.
B) An episode of a game about becoming a best-selling writer -- Gray, naturally, didn't make it that far, only selling a few articles (including "Your Wife Won't Wear What You Buy Anyway" and some thinly-disguised Harry Potter fanfiction) before having to declare bankruptcy in three years. Still a fun ride, though! (And bits of it, like struggling to keep the inspiration bar full, hit a bit close to home. . .)
C) His latest Sims 4 experiment -- forcing his Sims, already notorious for grilling food and then just leaving it out to rot on all available surfaces, to live in their own filth until they died. And so they did -- you should have seen this house. So many stinking laundry piles and dirty dishes everywhere (including some floating bowls of chill) that the game framerate dropped EXPONENTIALLY. Like, from 150 frames per sec to 38. The last few Sims started STARVING THEMSELVES over eating the rotten food. It was amazing. XD And we got kittens out of it, so yay! XD
-->Got my queues sorted for Victor Luvs Alice (had to do the song that went with the comic I shared before!) and Valice Multiverse (quiet night for the most part, just a couple of questions and a thread)
And now it's time to answer comments over here and proceed over to the Friday Night Writing Thing, Part Deux (we're concentrating on a different AU now). Tomorrow -- cleaning my room (which I imagine will go smoothly because my parents will be out all morning), Fallout 4 (Old Guns? Should I get Preston first in that case?), and OXBox videos (there's another escalation already!). We'll see how it all goes! Night all!
