Pretty Quiet Wednesday
Oct. 16th, 2019 11:24 pmMost of it was spent working on obituaries and suchlike -- and getting my free flu shot, since my job offers that. Arm's a little sore, but it's nothing I can't live with. And it's better than getting the flu! Pretty decent most of the day too -- was able to get in another lunchtime walk. Pouring now, though -- and we're due kind of a miserable start to Thursday. I guess we'll see how it goes!
Other things of note:
-->Also got in an afternoon exercise video, go me~ Though my OTHER arm (the one that didn't get the shot) ended up hurting by the end of it -- dunno if I pulled a muscle or what. It's better now, though still a little achy. I keep stretching it out -- hopefully it'll feel better by tomorrow.
-->Got some more done on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- LaCroix has just decided to let Alice live, yay! Mostly because killing her will spark a war with the Anarchs he really doesn't want right now, but still. At least Alice will live to -- well, she can't see another sunrise, not without turning to ash, but you get what I mean. She'll make it to the tutorial, at least. :p
-->YouTubery!
A) James Turner has discovered custom spells for Realm of Magic. Namely, he's discovered ones that allow you to kill people. XD So he went on a murder spree in the Magic Realm, electrocuting, burning, exploding -- all sorts of fun stuff! But, evil magic has its price, and that price is James STILL forgetting to check Column's magical charge. She died TWICE to overload -- once in the middle of the video (reload!), and once at the end (after she'd already managed to kill everybody). So that was fun. XD
B) Outstar with a quick bit of Bloodlines 2 news for us -- looks like the game is being delayed! Hopefully this will be for the better, as the animations we've seen so far have been kind of "eh." (Except for the goofy dancing, that is amazing.) She's also going to ParadoxCon and will see more of the game in its current state there, so that'll be something to look forward to! :D
C) Call Me Kevin's latest Minecraft video -- his attempts to build his own personal water temple (basically a secret potions laboratory) were interrupted by a raid on his house by pillagers! Fortunately Kevin managed to fight them off. Unfortunately he found out that his fancy glass panes he was using to make his temple look cool weren't waterproof and thus, if he ever wanted to dry his temple out, he had to replace them ALL with blocks. He was not exactly happy. XD On the plus side, he now owns a parrot, named Pip! So that's nice.
D) Call Me Kevin attempts to play My Summer Car, a Finnish game about, well, building your own car over the summer. Only it's really about traveling to a town by boat because you have none of the equipment you need, flipping off people constantly, getting hit by a train, attempting to purchase what you need from the general store, discovering only part of it is going in a shopping bag for easy carrying, trying to take the bus home, discovering the bus is going AS FAR FROM YOUR HOME AS POSSIBLE, getting off the bus only to have it take off with most of your items, and getting hit by a car to end it all. It's -- a weird game. XD
E) Call Me Kevin is a Naughty Bear -- more fluff slaughter! Today's levels consisted of slaughtering a bunch of bears trying to keep tabs on Naughty via bird-mounted cameras, a "friendly" challenge that is really more "okay, you can't get your hands dirty by actually hitting them, but driving them insane so they off themselves is perfectly okay!", and a quick look at a level with super-hero bears going up against Naughty. It doesn't end well for them. XD The perfect game for Kevin's love of torture and slaughter!
-->Got a bit of my Victor Luvs Alice queue done -- Thursday is complete with a nice Good Omens/Harry Potter crossover AU I found (in which Arizaphale and Crowley end up adopting a runaway Harry), and my own renewed thoughts for my own Good Omens AU (Victor as Crowley and Alice as Arizaphale, plus Wheatley as Newt and Chell as Anathema). Still thinking up a Friday post, though I'm considering doing the Corpse Bride-inspired dresses I came up with for Alice. Might as well, right? And it could be a good lead-in to talk about the outfits she'd wear for Victor's domains. . .
And now I should probably hit the sack. We'll see how tomorrow pans out -- well, I hope. Would be nice to have some sustained quiet time. . .the other shoe need not drop anytime soon! *nods* Night all!
