Early Friday!
Nov. 15th, 2019 11:36 pmAs in early release -- our interim director guy let us go home at around 3:45! :D That was a pleasant surprise, to be sure. And he said he plans to take us out to lunch next Friday, which I am on board with. (Mostly because THANK YOU FOR THE ADVANCE NOTICE, now I won't feel grumpy from having it sprung on me.) The whole day was fortunately generally quieter too -- I did a fair amount of roster maintenance stuff, plus fixing up some more reversals. Trust me, I'll take that for my last day before the weekend!
Got home in decent time (despite some HORRIBLE traffic on the main drag), then spent some time poking around TV Tropes because, well, I could. I also confirmed today on my lunch break that tumblr queues appear to be broken -- I had three items in mine today, scheduled for two to post today and the third to post tomorrow morning. All three posted today, and NONE of them anywhere NEAR the times they SHOULD have posted at (either the way I scheduled them, or if the site thought I was scheduling three). So, uh, that's annoying. I can still do a queue, I suppose, I just can only do it for the very next day. No more scheduling a few days in advance, at least under current circumstances. *sigh* I mean, I can DO that, it's just -- I kinda liked having the buffer potential? Not even have to worry about it some days? I'm not even sure if it's just me, or if it's a sitewide thing. . .need to ask tomorrow sometime.
Anyway, once I was done getting Saturday's posts in the mini-queue (I at least have plenty of Song Saturday ideas for the near future!), did my exercise video, and had supper, it was time for:
-->More "Londerland Bloodlines!" Got a good page done today, though I'm still not out of the tutorial. Mostly because the part of the tutorial I was working on today is Dementing people and fighting them, and I ended up doing most of the resultant fight scene between Alice and some Sabbat under my own steam. Ended up having Alice accidentally use Mass Hallucination on her opponents, which caused them to see some creepy Wonderland enemies. Good stuff, and nice to get away from the "have to keep stop-starting Helloween's Malkavian playthrough so I can get accurate dialogue" for a bit. That's probably what's slowing me down the most. . .but I need the canon skeleton to build on, so I'm kind of stuck with these methods at the moment. We'll see how it goes as I get through it!
-->A new Fun With Shorts! Today was a GM video about how they say they like bikes, but actually bikes and the people who ride them are rude and dangerous and really hard to see and wouldn't you just rather drive a car instead? I mean, obviously don't kill the bicyclists, but. . . It was pretty horrible and 70s, is what I'm saying, and totally deserved having Josh take the piss out of it.
-->More "Rags To Enrichment!" The pressure is amping up on poor Bob, as he struggles to coordinate classes, his part-time job, his homework, and general living. Sleep is in short supply and he's still rather too poor to buy food. On the plus side, though, he's doing well in all of his classes, he's already submitted one outstanding term paper, he got promoted at his barista job (Bean Blender), and all that biking he does is pretty fun, so. . . He also met the Sims 4 version of Lilith Pleasant! So that was pretty cool. :D University looks pretty challenging, but fun -- I'm gonna have to figure out the best way to work it into Newcrest (as I'm not sure how friendly it is toward a round-robin style of play. . .maybe if I have the Sims attend while staying at home?)
-->Valice Multiverse queue! Small one today, which is honestly a good thing, as I got to it a bit late after my webcomic binge. At least THERE the queue's never more than a day in advance, so I don't have to worry about THAT messing up. :p
And now, having answered my inbox comments, I need to head out and do the Friday Night Writing Thing (V.2). Tomorrow -- well, I have a fair amount of videos sitting in the Watch Later queue, so I'm gonna try to get to a bunch of those. Plus Fallout 4. And -- well, not sure about writing, beyond "the usual edited Scene From Secundus." Maybe Saturdays where I'm not playing Bloodlines, I can scratch the itch with snippets from further along in the story? Hmmm. . . Anyway, night all!

Date: 2019-11-16 05:32 pm (UTC)Mom usually gives me money for Christmas so that will probably be when I get the next pack unless it goes on sale beforehand.

Date: 2019-11-17 03:03 am (UTC)I doubt Discover University's going on sale anytime soon -- Christmas money is probably your best bet, yes. *nods* But it looks like a fun pack -- sending the supernaturals to college?
