crossover_chickPretty bad traffic going in, coworkers getting on my nerves at work by never shutting up, having to cut through the city to get home because usual traffic clogs due to rain. . . Yeah, couple all that with what I believe to be a burgeoning case of PMS, and you have a rather unhappy Vicky. *sigh* At least work itself wasn't too bad -- I was mainly cleaning up obituaries, which sound morbid, but is good in the sense of "at least now we're not mailing to dead people" and allows me to spend most of my time researching things, which I enjoy. Just it can get hard to concentrate when my coworkers get chatty. . .not to mention my lunch break kept getting interrupted. Meh. Hopefully tomorrow will be better on that front. (I DID almost finish that damn review I keep meaning to do for a friend, so -- progress?)
At any rate, evening was fortunately something of an improvement when I got home:
-->Meatball sandwiches for supper! One of my favorite meals, which made me happy :)
-->Wrote another page on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has gotten a gun and a crash course in shooting from Jack, and snacked on a couple of rats to keep her thirst from getting too bad. Now all I have to do to actually complete the tutorial is get rid of the two gangbangers! w000~ Of course, I'm still not QUITE done after that -- I just don't have to spend the extra time watching the LP to get dialogue and a good look at places in the world so I can describe them properly. Also, I'm just shy of 30 pages for this first chapter. Who wants to take bets on this being my first fic to hit 1,000 pages?
-->Had a GrayStillPlays marathon, since we didn't have a "Rags To Enrichment" video today:
A) Naughty/Nice, another one of those "it's Tinder except instead of judging people based on dateability you're judging them on some other basis" games, only Christmas-themed! Time to decide who is naughty, who is nice, and get a crapton of absolutely baffling endings in the process (like Santa dissolving into a metaphor from lack of Christmas Cheer -- or, conversely, exploding into a supernova from an excess of it). Gray got a lot of mileage out of this one XD
B) Heaven Vs Hell, another judgement-based game, with you deciding who goes to Heaven and who goes to Hell based on silly good and bad points. Gray of course choose whatever was funniest at the time, and happily let Satan into Heaven at the end to wreak havoc (yes this is a thing that happens) XD
C) The Westport Independent, another "you're a newspaper editor under a cold fascist regime and it's your job to control what the PEOPLE see" game (yes, this -- seems to be a genre now?). Gray set out to incite rebellion and cause riots, and W000 boy did he succeed. A couple of districts in Westport weren't too affected, but he basically got people to string up a dead police officer in one section of the city. He was very proud of himself. :p
D) God Simulator, another -- well, God simulator, where you design a race of people based on paired good and bad traits, and at the end you see an archeological report showing how the race did. Gray created the Floridamen, and basically turned them all into cannibalistic depressives who can turn invisible but explode if they touch while invisible. Not to mention how they freaking reproduce. . . Surprisingly, they were a very successful race, with a population of 13 BILLION. Gray was honestly stunned. XD He also created the Yeetlords, a race where he rejected every possible choice presented to him -- these poor things didn't even get a civilization. They are now sold as pets, poor bastards. *looks again at the Floridamen* Then again. . .
-->Tumblr Queue Shenanigans Update: My four-part queue today? Posted exactly when it was supposed to. Every post fired at the exact time it was scheduled. This is an interesting development, as it suggests the problem is with smaller queues. I have reset my schedule to two and put in my Thursday posts. We shall see what happens with them tomorrow!
And the rest of my evening has been catching up on stuff and indulging in a little light reading/messing about. Time to answer what I can in the inbox, then head to bed. Two more days to get through! And cleaning on Saturday, but at least I can sleep in. Just hoping no new crises pop up anytime soon. . . Night all!
