Kind Of Unnecessarily Stressful Tuesday
Dec. 10th, 2019 11:13 pmOne of those days with a fair amount of "little problems" -- stuff not quite right on QC counts, my coworkers disappearing during a moment when I really needed them (regarding time sheet stuff -- fortunately it seems to have been sorted), another shitty ride home because of the weather (I sat through three green lights before traffic cleared up enough for me to get to the next traffic light. . .I mean, it's better than cutting through the city, but it's still frustrating). . . It kind of wears on a girl, you know? *deep sigh* Hoping tomorrow will be better. . .
Anyway -- got home in one piece, and proceeded to:
-->Do another workout video, w00 -- though I also actually got a walk in at lunchtime! Yeah, the rain held off until a little later this afternoon, and it was pretty dang warm, so I did a round around the block. Nice to be able to sneak stuff like that in during December! Especially since it's supposed to get cold and snowy again tomorrow. . .and then get warmer again toward the weekend, but more rain. . .ugh. :(
-->Edit another page in "Secundus 2" -- poor Victor is the one to land in horse manure this time thanks to the Wells Fargo coach. *pats him* Fortunately, given my love of stealing stuff from "expanded universes," Doc has his cleaning solution from The Game on hand -- and he's fixed the little "eating through your clothes" problem too, which is good. :p Just one more page to go, and Chapter 2 shalt be edited! And then it'll be all Christmas fic, all the time for a little bit. . .
-->Watch some Simmy YouTube videos:
A) James Turner looking at some new Gallery builds, such as a delightful Christmas house, a cool Desert School, a city contained within a single building (you could feel the lag), and an update for the Britechester student pub that makes it a lot of other things as well! As usual, all my props to the Sims 4 building community for making amazing stuff I could never pull off in a million years. :p
B) A list of 33 tips, tricks, and general observations about The Sims 4 by Carl's Sims Guides, including how -- now that most jobs don't require a certain mood -- Energized is the best mood for going to work; or how good-quality harvestables can make your Sims super happy when eaten and thus boost other moods. Some of it was stuff I'd seen in other videos, but it was still quite informative!
C) A check-in on the LilSimsie Save, just because I was curious to see what she did with Britechester -- looks nice! I especially like her "commons" designs for both campuses -- they fit in nicely with the aesthetics of each school. Good stuff.
D) Plumbella recounting the history of sexuality and such in the Sims series, pointing out that, given the time each game in the series has been released, they've always been very inclusive in allowing gay relationships and the like, with Sims 4 making strides towards trans acceptance with their updates regarding gender presentation. Rather feel-good stuff, honestly.
(Of course, after doing all that, I checked my tumblr, and apparently there's some sort of "walkout" being done over the next few days to protest YouTube's new policies and whatnot. So that's gonna be my last YouTubery until Friday. I can live without the videos -- can always just read fanfic or tumblr blogs -- I just worry about how I'll do without the background music I usually have on. . .)
-->Got my Newcrest Adventures update sorted in the queue, so that'll fire tomorrow without any problems~ Also got my Valice Multiverse queue sorted, so that's good too.
And now I should answer what I have left in the inbox and head to bed. We'll see what's going on in the morning, snow-wise! (Watch it be miserable and me get another lousy half-hour delay. . .) Night all!
