Friday The 13th Is A YouTube Friday
Dec. 13th, 2019 11:19 pmYup, off my self-imposed exile, and back to watching silly videos! Which is good, as I didn't exactly have the best Friday -- started off with a lecture about keeping gas in the car (about the minute I woke up), moved onto some bad traffic, then one of those work days filled with little annoyances. I mean, I got stuff done, and I'm glad of it, but. . .and then bad traffic again coming home, and tomorrow it's supposed to rain a lot, and yeaaaah. I needed some fun.
Fortunately I got it, mostly thanks to OXBox and OXtra! 7 video game protagonists who just can't act (featuring some hilariously wooden performances); 7 game series that are being continued in rather unusual ways (Metal Gear Solid slot machine, anyone?); and -- most importantly -- OXBOX CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE! :D The holiday season has officially started, folks~ Today we started with a Mike challenge, which was to play Snake (or "Cobra," as the game calls it) on the phone the main character owns in the Blair Witch game. He had to get a 100 points in the game to score 1 in the challenge, but sadly fell short (though he got up into the 70s!). So no point for Mike this year, booo. :( We'll have to see how Andy does on his challenge tomorrow!
Also watched -- a video with CallMeKevin, RTGame, and JackScepticEye wandering around Minecraft Ireland with a bunch of fans, while the fans built things relating to their country (they're all Irish -- though as Kevin loved to point out, he's the only one who's 100% Irish) and their channels. Poor Kevin kind of got the short end of the stick, as it took forever for people to start building stuff for him, and people immediately started giving him tons of soup after he started talking about his distaste for it. :p He got his own back, though -- mainly with fire. XD Yup, pyromaniac Kevin strikes again! And tries to burn down a base, though since fire didn't spread in this server, it did almost no damage. Kind of a shame. . . Ah well, it was still fun. XD
The rest of the evening has been pretty quiet -- we've started watching Good Omens with supper, because my parents got a free trial of Amazon Prime with an order, and they decided, why not? And I've heard so many good things about it. . . So far so good with the first episode, though I'm really looking forward to seeing Jack Whitehall as Newt in the second one. :p And all the rest of the characters too -- though I already like the Them. They chose good kids for those roles. And of course Michael Sheen and David Tennant are great as Aziraphale and Crowley. XD Looking forward to more of their ridiculousness in the second episode!
I also got another gift fic done, w0000~ Coming along nicely -- might try to get some of the earlier ones edited now that I'm down to the last couple. And I answered my comments and got my Valice Multiverse queue done -- which was just me hunting down something from my tags I could put IN my queue, because it was all shockingly quiet over there today. O.o And now it's Friday Night Writing Thing time -- only I have to close my browser briefly because I keep disconnecting. *grumbles* Dunno if it's them or me. . .guess we'll find out. Night all!
