Running Around Monday

crossover_chickIn the sense of running out this afternoon after I got home from work to pick up presents for my coworkers at Target! One I was able to get my original idea for, the others -- well, I was going to get travel mugs for coffee, but ended up switching to novelty regular mugs after looking at the prices. Don't want to spend TOO much. Just have to get some Dunkin Donuts gift cards after work tomorrow, and I'll be set!
Work itself wasn't TOO bad, though we have this weird situation with something online. . .I think in the end it'll be an easy fix, but it was kind of frustrating to work through. Especially since I've got a whole packet of other returns and fixes to do. . .plus trying to keep up with roster maintenance and the GL and the like. Just gotta remember, three more days. . .and tomorrow's even shorter than normal! We're expecting some bad weather AGAIN in the morning, so my work has gone ahead and given us an hour delay to be on the safe side. Quite the turn-around from the absurdly snowy day that had only a half-hour delay! I think some people complained. . .at least, it means a little extra sleep, so I'll take it.
Anyway, with much of my evening being taken up with the present hunt, I only had time for the following:
-->Another episode of Good Omens with supper -- we're getting into the good stuff! Atlantis has risen, the Kraken is eating whaling ships, Crowley's on the run from his demonic pals, Aziraphale's accidentally gotten sent back to Heaven, and Newt and Anathema did some end-of-the-world screwing. XD Delightful stuff, and I eagerly await diving into the next episode tomorrow! (Even if it is giving me a LOT of thoughts on GO AUs. . .)
-->Yesterday's XMas Challenge from OXBox -- I would have watched today's too, but yesterday's was a half-hour long, and today's 45 minutes. Just not enough time, unfortunately. Have I been keeping you abreast of these? If not, here's the skinny:
1. Mike must earn 100 points in "Cobra," the mini-game of Snake available in the Blair Witch game -- he came close, but ultimately failed, poor guy
2. Andy must hunt down all of the inflatable crocodiles in Hitman 2's HAVEN level (in the Maldives), without getting killed or killing anyone except his targets -- they'll know if he succeeded if he gets the special "inflatable crocodile" level exit. He does, putting Andy on the board with a point! (And another hilarious level exit XD)
3. Jane must fulfill her "favorite" challenge -- "Slaying The Giant" in the latest FIFA release. This means taking a lower-ranked League Two team, and using them to beat a Premier League team. Jane chose a "chickens vs gulls" match (or Gryffindor vs Slytherin, based on team colors), and -- despite not being very good at these games -- actually succeeded, ending the game with a 2-0 score! So she is now also on the board with a point. :D
Today's entry I believe is Mike in Madden 2020, but I don't know all the details -- I will fill you in as they become available!

And now I'm finishing up here, doing my usual queue prepping for the Newcrest Adventures update and preparing to answer inbox comments. Hopefully the weather tomorrow shan't be too horrible! It's supposed to transition over to rain as the day goes on, so at least there's no lasting snow. . .I hope. . .fingers crossed, everybody. Until then, night all!
