crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
I mean, I got some extra sleep from the hour delay, and I was able to get to and from work safely despite some pretty damn miserable weather (icy rain pretty much ALL DAY, it was ICK), but -- well, some stressful stuff at work (for example, finding the fridge door ajar the moment I walked in, plus one of my coworkers is sick but insisting on coming in -- not to mention actual job stuff like trying to get through some of these damn returns), dinner being late because our oven is an ancient piece of shit and the chicken just would not cook, and me needing to make my muffins, coupled with what I'm sure is a RAGING case of PMS. . .well, suffice it to say I'm not in a great mood right now. *sigh*

I did manage to get a few things done:

-->We watched some more Good Omens with dinner -- more good stuff as all the main characters finally converge on Tadfield Air Base! The Horsemen have just gotten creepier and creepier; Adam had some absolutely terrifying moments but fortunately being rejected by his friends knocked him out of it; Aziraphale's possessed Madam Tracy and gotten the whole "magical scooter" thing going; and Crowley did the "flaming Bentley across the M25" bit. :D My only real complaint is that my favorite scene from the books (the tree growing through the shopping mall) didn't make it in, but my least favorite (Hastur escaping Crowley's answering machine tape by pouring out of a telemarketer's headset and phone as a bunch of maggots) DID. *shudder* Had to look away at that bit. Last episode tomorrow! That should be interesting. . .

-->Watched yesterday's OXBox X-Mas Challenge -- Mike vs Madden 2020! The challenge was twofold -- score a touchdown, then win the game. Why is this such a challenge?

The OXBox team are British, and none of them have played a game featuring American Football before. Mike had a slight edge in that he watches the Super Bowl, but there was a lot of confused flailing as they tried to figure out the game controls (apparently the standard settings AUTO-PLAYS big chunks of the game for you) and what all the weird game terminology meant. Even with all that, though, he succeeded! I mean, it was an extremely close match (he got an early touchdown, but then struggled at actually stopping the opposing team for the longest time -- Seahawks vs Rams, if you're curious, with Mike as the Seahawks), but he managed to pull out the win in the end! Probably one of the best games of football I've watched in a while. XD

-->Got another gift fic edited -- slow start because of my mood, I admit, but it didn't turn out half-bad in the end.

And now it's time to hit the sack -- hopefully I'll feel less "grrr" tomorrow. I mean, it's not THAT likely, given what time of the month we're coming up on, but. . .fingers crossed. Night all!
