crossover_chick: Alice (Wonderland) looking kind of confused (AMA: WTFery?)

Because I have had a sick coworker in the office lately, and while I've been doing my best to avoid him, it's not always possible. . .but on the other hand, I am coming up on that time of the month, and that can sometimes make me feel kind of sick when I'm not actually sick. Currently it's just some soreness in the back of my throat and some sniffling, so -- either way? *sigh* We'll see how I feel in the morning. I was honestly trying my best not to get sick. . .

Anyway, not too bad a day at work, which is nice! We managed to solve some mysteries regarding our mailings, and I managed to almost complete a set of returns, so that was all good stuff. We're just doing our best to keep up on all the various maintenance! Ride in was pretty tight, though fortunately I wasn't more than a couple of minutes late (pulled up just behind a coworker, in fact), and the ride home was surprisingly easy! Even with it starting to snow hard during the last bit of my ride home. XD Yeah, we actually had a pretty nasty snow squall this evening -- dumped maybe half an inch in ten minutes? It was coming down heavy for a little while. . .fortunately, it's stopped now, but dropping temperatures mean everything's frozen. . . If I am going in tomorrow, I hope the roads are properly salted and treated! Seems unduly dangerous otherwise. *wince*

Also had a pretty much free evening, which is good, after being so busy the last couple of days. (And will be busy again tomorrow -- more shopping to do!) Accomplishments included:

-->Finishing up Good Omens with the family! It was a good final episode -- Jack Whitehall as Newt remained cuter than he had any reasonable right to be, the final confrontation was pretty damn awesome, and I like the addition of the trial scenes, and how Crowley and Aziraphale got through them. Very good show! :D A shame we can't get the "extras" apparently on offer, but what can one do. . .

-->Edited up another gift fic, yay~ And finally got the brief on one of the remaining ones to write from the person it's intended for (he tends to like specific stuff), so that's good. Work on that tomorrow, I think!

-->Caught up on the OXBox X-Mas Challenges! :D My double feature tonight:

A) Andy's second challenge, which was an interesting one -- he had to make and then carry a bowl of stew on foot to Saint Denis in Red Dead Redemption Online and eat it at the local saloon there. Couldn't do anything that would lead to him dropping it, meaning he had no way to defend himself should he run into dangerous animals or boisterous players. Fortunately for him, he MAJORLY lucked out and managed to avoid any stew-destroying encounters and get his point! He ate his stew and nearly assaulted a passerby in celebration XD

B) Jane's second challenge, which was deceptively simple -- set an enemy boat on fire in the Sea of Thieves arena, within the first 15 minutes of joining a match. Unlike Andy, though, Jane encountered problem after problem in her challenge -- from not being able to catch up to the other boats, to missing with her firebombs, to getting shot off her boat and eventually dying, to respawning and getting a late-joining teammate who ALSO could not connect with the firebombs (and who, not being part of the Challenge, kept steering them toward trying to play the game PROPERLY), to getting knocked off her boat yet AGAIN, to attempting to shoot HERSELF at an enemy ship and falling short. Finally, though, with mere seconds left, she was able to swim up to one of her enemy ships and set it ablaze, scoring her point. That means Jane and Andy are tied at two, while poor Mike only has one. Hopefully he'll do better in tomorrow's challenge!

-->I also managed to fit in a GrayStillPlays episode: Dumbocalypse, one of those "choose how to answer people's dumb questions and watch how it destroys the world." You get little newspaper articles showing you the results of each of your answers (or if you spend too much time playing with the coffee on your desk, as Gray found out). Gray managed to drive the human race to extinction three times -- once by an overabundance of happiness; once by an overabundance of sadness; and once by just reducing the population until there was no one left to ask questions. Good stuff!

-->And my queue's set through the end of the week, which is nice. :) Extra nice if I am proper sick.

And now it's time to wrap up things online and head to bed. Keep your fingers crossed I'm still feeling okay in the morning! I'd like to at least drop off my gifts for my coworkers tomorrow morning if nothing else. Night all!
