crossover_chick: a vampire version of Alice Liddell and a human Victor Van Dort kissing (SIMS: Vamp!Alice and Victor Smooches)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
After a thorough room cleaning this morning (just so I don't have to worry about it next weekend, since we're meeting with my aunt, uncle, and cousin then), I hopped online, did a little messing about, then decided to get into Sims 4, since it was already 3:30. Figured I'd just go ahead and play the Liddell-Van Dorts of Newcrest, get reacquainted with my sweeties, and then head back online for videos and the like. And for a while, I did just that. . .

And then I noticed just how much money the family has. And I thought, "You know, I should really move the stairs into the basement INSIDE their house. . ."

Cue me adjusting the house -- in particular, trying to figure out where exactly to put the basement rooms so that I could get the stairs leading into it into the ideal position -- for roughly two hours. It was 6:30 PM by the time I quit because we were having supper, and even THEN I hadn't finished! Though that's partly because I have been upgrading stuff and adding new objects because they can afford it. . . But yeah, I did not expect the stairs thing to be so tricky! I was tempted to quit out without saving at one point (luckily I'd saved just before I started doing the reno, so I wouldn't have lost all my progress), but I kept at it, and now I have something acceptable. Whole house is a little bigger too now, and I intend to add some more stuff for them to use. Like a chess table -- no, they don't have one! Somehow I never added it. . . I'm thinking I'll probably go back in tomorrow to finish the renovation and the day just so it's not hanging over my head. Usually play Sims on Sunday anyway. :P And it's not like I won't have more chances to play my other games, given I have work on Monday, then two more days off for the New Year. . .

Anyway, thanks to me getting lost in figuring out stairs, how do they work, I only watched three videos off my Watch Later queue:

A) Plumbella tries out Sacrificial's "Zombie Apocalypse" mod (apparently she's a zombie fan, who knew) -- amusingly, she did so in order to avoid doing a different video about making a CallMeKevin-style torture chamber so she didn't get called out for copying. XD Too bad CMK ALSO used the Zombie mod in his Sims 4 stuff. . .not like Plumbella did, though. She only took a quick look at the chaos on offer, but she seemed to have fun with all the zombie mayhem! Not my playstyle, but it's fun to watch others. :)

B) Plumbella's hopes for The Sims 4 in 2020 -- she wants more hair colors, more traits, more chores, just more stuff to DO. Plus some sort of "basic necessities" pack and more general game customization options, like doing custom life spans -- which, personally, I would be all over. Wouldn't mind more hair colors either. . .or more hobbies. I'm hoping that "knitting" stuff pack turns out well! Fingers crossed. . .

C) Another episode of "Sims Logic" from onlyabidong -- with LGR! So that was a lot of fun. :) Particularly liked LGR's sim walking right into the middle of a magical duel to watch it better. XD

I seriously thought I was going to EMPTY my damn queue during this week and change off. . .and instead the time has just flown by with me barely keeping up. I need a vacation that doesn't require me to write any fics for people or do anything else. XD

At least I was good and got up my next Scene From Secundus: A Dairy Queen Patented Blizzard -- the "snow" prompt, featuring Flint Lockwood's ice cream snow. :p What, it's canon! I wasn't supposed to make use of it? XD And I'm currently working on RP stuff on the Valice Multiverse, and queuing on Victor Luvs Alice, and catching up on neglected comments. Busy busy beaver, as usual. . . At least tomorrow should be a little quieter. At the very least, I intend to catch back up on "Rags To Enrichment," as well as start working on "Secundus 2" again. Gotta start getting myself back in form as we approach 2020!

But first, comments. *deep breath* Night all!
