crossover_chick: a vampire version of Alice Liddell and a human Victor Van Dort kissing (SIMS: Vamp!Alice and Victor Smooches)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
Though the afternoon's been a bit rushed thanks to two things taking longer than I expected to actually do. . .but still! I'm feeling pretty darn perky for the second day of my period, so I'll call this day off a win! :D

Anyway, let me attempt to sum up the day:

-->Bit of a slow start, thanks to the red curse -- but I got a decent amount of sleep, and managed to get going eventually with the help of some music (I ended up listening to all three songs I listed on the Victor/Alice ship meme -- you can see that here if you like, btw -- because, well, I felt that if I listed them as prime Valice songs, I should listen to them on Valicetine's day)

-->We left for the mall about noon -- my parents headed off to browse for a while before seeing their movie, while I hit Newbury's to see if there was anything I wanted there (nope), then Charley's for my usual Chicken Philly lunch (om nom). After that was Dave & Buster's, where I spent 75 bucks of my $100 worth of D&B birthday money on chips so I'd both have a bunch of credits on my card, and still have some money for my wallet. Went around and played a bunch of games, including three full races on the new Hot Wheels game, and a complete run through one of the Batman game's scenarios (Mr. Freeze, Easy) because I NEVER manage to complete them. (Took quite a few swipes of the card as I'm horrible at avoiding damage!) I also got another two ducks from the duck claw machine, a classic yellow and a classic yellow with a bullseye on the front of it -- I was only aiming for one, but it got stuck at the top of the chute, and I had to get another duck with my play to knock them both down. XD

I also actually went ahead and spent some of my tickets on a new friend! The D&B ticket store has featured some rather large stuffed dragons for a while now, and I've kind of wanted one every time I've looked at them, and today I decided, "You know what? I'm gonna get one." Good thing too, because the lady at the counter said something about them switching stock over, so I think the dragons were about to go away! Anyway, my new dragon friend is black covered in multicolored stars, with a blue belly, spikes, ears, and wings, and I'm calling them D.B. because -- well, from Dave & Busters. They're hanging out with Dougie right now. I'm gonna have to figure out the best way to rearrange my bed to put them in a good spot! (They're about as big as Einstein, so if I set them on the other side, I'd at least have some good symmetry going on. . .)

After that, I did a quick wander of the floor, then stopped by the Hershey's Shake Shack to pick up a treat -- a Campfire S'mores Shake! I'm not actually sure what goes into it, beyond marshmallow and chocolate sauces, chocolate chunks, and a graham cracker sprinkle on top -- but MAN was it good. :D Just what my period-wracked body was craving. I'll have to remember that one for future visits.

After that, I caught up with my parents as they were leaving the theater (they enjoyed their movie, yay), they gave me a box of chocolates they'd gotten me as a Valentine's gift, and we headed back home. :)

-->Back at home, I helped out on our latest puzzle for a bit (2,000 piece sea scene! This one's taking a while, no surprise), then hopped back on the computer to play Sims 4, as it was Love Day for my Sims as well, and I couldn't resist the urge to take Victor and Alice on a date. :) This -- took longer than expected, as Origin for some reason had to reverify my game files -- which is a process when you have most of the expansions. *sigh* And then, of course, I ALSO ended up giving the kids in the family makeovers now that they've both aged up -- mostly new clothes, though I also fussed with Emma's hair style to make her look more distinct from her mother. She and Alice look quite alike, although Emma clearly gets her face shape and chin from her dad. It's kind of cool to see how their genetics combine!

After that, though, Victor and Alice got their date -- I sent them to Pepper's Pub in Britechester, which doesn't have much, but it has chairs for talking and a ping-pong table. Managed, with some effort, to get the date to Gold status (Alice just did NOT want to be Playful), and had the pair celebrate with some bat woohoo. XD And then coffin woohoo back home, because for some reason bat woohoo didn't fulfill their whims to woohoo with each other. (And then coffin woohoo didn't do the trick either, so I gave up. Stupid glitchy things. . .I miss wants.) There was also a lot of flower giving, and painting, and just general domestic happiness, so I was pleased, even if it took me a while to get there.

-->Hopped in the shower, then did my writing for the day -- "Londerland Bloodlines," though NOT in the main story document. I wanted to write about something else for Valentine's, so instead I did a snippet from further along in the timeline -- the first time Alice drank Victor's blood. She's -- kinda blown away by how good he tastes. XD And, since I'm using resonance from the new edition, she even gets to see a part of one of his memories, as he's feeling so happy while she's drinking! So that was cool (even if my characters are really confused XD).

-->Videos of the day both came from James Turner -- I caught up on his latest Tiny Living build, a small house designed to look like two carriages in a train! He even fudged up an abandoned train station for decoration purposes (doing a trick where you move IN a wall onto an existing structure instead of just drawing it there to complete it, so the tile space doesn't count toward the limit). It was very cool, even if I look at the double twin bedroom he did and think "YIKES that's cramped." XD

The other one was the latest episode of "Rags To Repayment," which has fulfilled the promise of its title -- Trash finally earned enough money from work to fully pay off her loan! :D Now the goal of the series is making lots and lots of ambrosia to bring back all the dead people from the killer New Year's Party. XD (Makes James totally ignoring Love Day when it popped up in the episode suddenly seem like a good idea. XD) They're getting there -- completing the space rock collection did NOT yield an orchid, so James is going to have to splice up the appropriate plants -- he managed to get both flowers he needs after buying LOTS of seed packets. Fortunately he was also able to just BUY a pomegranate, so that helps. Bob is doing well with his cooking and becoming quite handy around the tiny house, Trash is doing well with her gardening and space exploration, and while they're constantly at least a little stressed about something, life could be worse. At least now they're out of the hole and actually going toward riches!

-->And now I'm trying my best to wrap up queuing (done with Victor Luvs Alice, got a couple more things in Valice Multiverse) and answer stuff so I can do some Friday Night Writing Thing (that's how you KNOW I'm feeling good -- second day with my period and I'm feeling awake enough to actually WRITE STUFF). Tomorrow should be a good day too, honestly -- my parents are going out antiquing, so I'll have most of the day to myself to hang out, watch videos, and play some Bloodlines. Side quest time now that I have my "gives me a little extra XP" item! Should be good. :D Night all!
