Prepping To Go Back To Work Sunday
Feb. 16th, 2020 11:32 pmTrying to catch up on stuff I didn't get to last night because my tumblr RP blog was busier than usual, and it always takes me longer to update this thing than I think it will. . . I mean, I can't complain about the day, I had candy and video games and lots of YouTubery. Just I wish I didn't have to go to bed in such a short while. Bleh, work. . .
Well, anyway, here's the roundup:
-->I did get my last "Scenes from Secundus" chapter up: Instructions For Secundus Helped that this is a rare one that I did not edit at all! Mostly because it's a poem and I already struggle with those, so. . . XD I also did another page on "Secundus 2" edits for Chapter 4 -- Victor's fled the basement in the middle of a minor breakdown, thinking about what he did to the Queen and growing steadily more terrified of what he could do to his friends, and Marty's just come across him. Time for some heart-to-hearts and Marty being a good friend and calming Victor down!
-->Like I said, lots of YouTubery:
A) A bunch of OXBox and OXtra lists -- things that only make sense in video games (like the invisible inventory that allows you to tote around so many guns, which I now have to work around in "Londerland Bloodlines" because that is nominally set in reality); weird things you can be in VR (including Jesus Christ himself! Yeah, that's not going to be controversial); weird in-real-life ways to experience your favorite video games (let's go to Witcher School, which is basically boot camp but with no wifi! Or you could crawl around in a cardboard box in a Metal Gear Solid escape room); and awesome moments in games where you felt like a pure god (I now have a new Poets of the Fall song to track down, that was used as the awesome soundtrack to one of these awesome moments :D)
B) GrayStillPlays Impression, where you are a newsreader who will influence popular opinion on the arrival of aliens on earth. Spoiler: No matter what you do, the aliens send us all a sick burn text message before leaving -- you just influence how much of earth is on fire from humans panicking when this happens. XD
C) Plumbella plays more The Sims Medieval -- in direct contradiction of reality's medieval times, the Queen is being allowed to romance and marry another woman! After a false start in which the woman rejected the Queen's suit. . . Jessie didn't take kindly to that. XD Also, she's still making enemies of random children, and setting parrots on guild members she doesn't like. Just your typical day in the kingdom! XD
D) James Turner makes another small house for Tiny Living in Sims 4! This one was a house that was supposed to be some converted shipping containers, and it turned out really cute! There's an adorable front garden, the kitchen and formal sitting room have lots of windows looking out at the backyard lettuces, there's skylights everywhere. . .it's very nice and I wouldn't mind having it in my game. Must remember to check out his gallery page the next time I log on. . .
-->As I played Sims 4 on Friday, though, today was a Fallout 4 day. The intent was to continue Ada's quest to find the Mechanist, and I DID read/listen to her deceased human friends' holotapes on the subject. But the actuality of my session was largely "wander through Southern Boston, get into fights with raiders and/or super mutants, and find myself dying a lot before I finally manage to take these assholes down." Seriously, I had to try and avoid so many fights, only to walk straight into another one. . .at least my sniper rifle got a good workout? And I picked up loads of good junk. . .have to find an armor workbench so I can add more pockets to all my gear. Must have all the pockets to carry all the things. XD But yeah, really gotta get back to someone's plot the next time I play, instead of just shooting guys because I accidentally blundered into their territory.
-->Did my queues -- finished up both Victor Luvs Alice and Valice Multiverse, phew! Now I just have to take a moment tomorrow and get all my pictures done for the latest Newcrest Adventures update. . .
That's for later, though. For now, I have to clean out the last comments in my inbox, catch up on the last of my tumblr tags, and then head to bed. Back to normal work weeks tomorrow! Bleh. . . Night all!
