Going Along Wednesday
Mar. 18th, 2020 11:20 pmStarting with an update -- yesterday's little thing was nothing more than my sinuses acting up, probably because they don't like March and the fact that the temperature's been yo-yoing a bit. I felt fine this morning, and I don't have any of that congestion tonight. Crisis averted -- which is good, as we're up ten cases in RI from yesterday as more and more people get tested. More and more of the state is shutting down, and everyone is on tenterhooks at work. I'm really hoping we get some solid answers about what's in store for work soon! I don't interact with a lot of people in the building, thankfully, but just coming in has gotten a bit -- worrying. Just keep washing my hands and keeping my distance as best I can. . . And hey, it was just warm enough this afternoon to score a quick walk, so that's a win right there. *nods*
Evening's been pretty nice too:
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- since I had the e-mails I needed for Alice's adventure into the Administrator's office on the Bloodlines Wiki, I threw some music on and just transcribed them from there. :p She's figured out the password to controlled substances -- now she just needs to get up there! And past the guard. . .
-->Watched the latest episode of "Rags To Repayment" from James -- a shorter one, where Bob FINALLY befriended and invited into the family roughly half the ghosts he needs to bring back to life (through the magic of picture-taking -- yes, apparently that is an AMAZING way to speed up relationship building) --
Only for the ambrosia to NOT WORK. Three times in a ROW on one ghost. James was at his wits' end, let me tell you. I mean, it was amusing (especially when you remember That One Episode of the Bigwallets in the Seasons LP days, and the trouble they had with Benadryl Crumplebottom's death and resurrection), but also kind of worrying? But apparently it's also a known bug with Sims that died of burning to death, like the ones from the deadly party. James is gonna HAVE to resort to cheating to get that death trait off them and get them back to human. Ugh, this game sometimes. . . Well, at least we can all say that "you tried legitimately, dude -- don't feel bad about resorting to the cheat!"
-->Also watched Plumbella build a torture chamber for Sims out in the desert of Strangerville, hidden behind a facade of a long-abandoned western bar. It's actually pretty cool -- there's a toddler play room for deadly toddlers, a club for deadly clubbing, a murder station, and a hedge maze for any Sim who wants to try and earn their freedom. I look forward to the video where she downloads some terrifying mods and actually uses it. XD
-->And then it was time for LEGO Masters! Fun episode this week, though the guest co-host was annoying. But then again, the whole self-referential "aren't reality shows annoying with this trope and that trope" thing is the show's weakest point, so. . . Some great builds, and I'm pleased to say last week's miscarriage of justice has been rectified in some small measure. :) So I'm happy there.
-->Caught up on my webcomics and whatnot, then just finished up my Victor Luvs Alice queue for the next few days -- happily, I knew exactly what I wanted to post for the next couple of days, so I'm good through the first half of Sunday! w000~ Feels nice to be ahead.
And now it's time to finish wrapping things up and hit the sheets. Still going into work tomorrow. . .we'll see what updates cometh! Hope you're all doing well, properly hunkered down and whatnot. Night!
